HTC is a Taiwanese company and Taiwan is situated between China and Japan in the west Pacific, moreover it is known as The Republic of China.

You bash China like US and EU are above them. You don't wven know that all the bad rep that uniformed people like you gove to Asian countries is caused by the imposed sanctions by the US and EU. They outsource the dirty work to these countries essentially to keep their names clean. The US was responsible for breaking Japanese economy by forcing it to increase their currency value back in 80s (I could be mistaken on the exact year) which Japan could then never recover from since the US would otherwise place unfair sanctions on Japan throwing them in an economic turmoil. Furthermore US and EU import damn near everything from China to keep high waste producing factories in china (example - batteries, microchips, etc). China has an unmatched production and assembly facility which is why even the US' most valuable company (Apple) get's their devices assembled in China. The so called bad labour law practices are mostly the outcome of these beands abusing the smaller markets which is why China and Russia among other countries are trying overthrow USD as their exchange economy which again makes the US butthurt and they are actively threatening these Asian countries including India with economic and trade sanctions. (In simpler terms, stay below me or I will make life miserable for you) Truth is, your sniflake woke economy will inevitably destroy itself. US is infamous for companies like John Deere that have malicious practices like locking/keying parts so that users may not repair their OWN STUFF. Aome of the most baffling pay disparities exists in the US and EU where CEOs are payed filthy copious amounts of salaries and wmployes are severely underpaid, hence why nobody can afford housing in these countries. And you have the audacity to point fingers at the victims of these so called forst world "utopias"

That's like a person going to a neighbours house fo cook making a mess and then shaming them for not keeping the kitchen clean.

Please educate/inform yourself.

      S I R E, 14 Jun 2024It's not about Xiaomi, the K70 Pro just does a great j... moreit's easy to annihilate other products when you're mentioning a China domestic product with a Chinese price tag, always massively cheaper than EU or US pricing. Not everyone wants to wait 2 weeks for an imported phone, unlock bootloader and flash a xiaomi dot EU rom, or global rom, just because they're getting a better chipset and a charger that can power an electric car.

      if we're going feature by feature, spec by spec, the U24 Pro is competitive. And give it 3 months for the price to fall off a cliff.

      It's like me saying for the price of my Mercedes C220 CDI i could have bought a full spec C320 in the USA with a V6 engine and the sports package.

That this is better in every aspect short of expandable memory and audio jack while being seriously cheaper. I don't care for brands, I only look at products.

                Everything is good, but if this phone's bootloader cannot be unlocked then I'm NOT buying this. I refuse to use an unrooted phone! I'll get the Xperia 5v

It is a great chipset, but of course the final perception depends heavily on the price of the gadget.

                              This is fine for a mid range phone, but HTC's support is abysmal. Not even 2 years of software updates are guaranteed.

                                What in god's name happened to HTC . They used to be giants in the smartphone industry. I owned their last great phone , the One m9 for almost 6 years.
                                It's really sad to see they can not even compete with small manufacturers let alone giants like Samsung or Apple especially after they let go of the flagship phone market

                                    The specs are ok, but why mono speaker? There are still people buying HTC in Taiwan with the carrier deals, so this isn't that bad as the previous one.
