This would have been my next phone, the only thing that let it down was the curved screen. Shame.

        Jack or SD slots are nothing but ancient technology where companies gave up upon them for good reasons. Noone needs them anymore not even me. You and people like you are said minority which will be even smaller over time as ew people born to wireless era and will read about jack and other things only from history books.
        Just like the Pixels movie from 2015 for example with Adam Sandler.

        Those people who rely on ancient archaic technology dying with time and soon all will stick to new gadgets and things with new era.
        Since you and people like you cant do much about that you have to acknowledge this fact and move along whether you like it or no.
        Because even if you will keep buying outdated ancient things with tech you want soon or later there will be no new tech with that and soon or later there will be noone to fix said ancient technologies if they breaks.

        Like you cant buy brand new just released ford model T for example you cant relly on ancient technologies for good because there will be none for sake of humanityplease kiss good bye whathewer you liked and enjoy new life with new gadgets.

        Even i for example loved good old games of 80s era played on Commodore 64 whic i had at that time but now enjoying modern ones which are way different lost its magic in some ways but still game is game and as long as its enjoyable its good enough.
        Same goes for your things.
        Wireless is the future and you will be part of this future whether you like it or not.
        Same stands for many else people who cant change this future they just have to move along.

I know that it isn't much use for most people and I remember some others were equally pissed when Samsung removed it on the S series ( part of my reason for leaving them ) it's just a matter of what features you want on a phone. So calling someone elses requirement useless because you don't use it doesn't make sense. Btw the jack itself doesn't have wires it's attached to the board on most cases barely even takes up space. Just to remind the Xperia 1/5/10s are ip65/68 and the S10s were wateresistant the jack can easily be made water resistant it's just simple willingness

            Welp, this phone came out when I'm already a Samsung fanboy. So even if it has fast processor and SD slot with blue colored body, I'm not that interested.

              Microsoft Windows has over 80% of the market share in China, speaking of Google, they have a domestic search engine equivalent of Google called Baidu, just like Russia has Yandex (although Google still has a larger market share in Russia). You could've saved yourself this embarrassment had you put in the effort to make a simple search, but you want to argue for the sake of argument.

              Nobody is calling China innocent, they were among the worst handlers of COVID-19, sure. But, don't forget that China has risen from a much graver position. Here, I will add real grim facts about China (since you're incapable of real research anyway). China has one of the worst work cultures in the world, they take over neighbouring countries' (India) land at a parasitic rate each year, and they have some of the highest generational gaps both literally and figuratively in the world, they have truly abused their high population for the better part of 30-40 years, CCP has been among the worst offenders of non-democratic behaviour. Now, let's look at some outcomes of this, they have one of the most capable and promising chances of overthrowing the USD as the exchange economy (at least in Asia) due to the eye-watering work culture China is going through which is a human rights violation but most of these companies are direct suppliers of US/EU brands that want to keep their public image clean.

              US had tried to impose a chipset manufacturing ban on China by forbidding TSMC to operate in China which if you do not know is the Taiwan Semi-Conductor Manufacturing Company. Taiwan is the Republic of China. All while China publicly announced that they won't be countering any of these bans and sanctions on the US. (Who's the bully Mr IQ200?)

              The point isn't to paint a holy picture of China (or any other country) and a dark (Deservedly) picture of the US. The point is that most ill practices in these emerging countries are the outcome of the malicious economic bullying the US has practised for decades to stay in power. At the very least, China is emerging as a voiced country since the protests against the CCP are louder than ever, and the youth are finally demanding a better work culture.

              Let me be clear, the motive is not to get political, but it is an important topic that people do need to take seriously since that dictates everything else, the policies, the laws, the rights, the economy, you name it. Like it or not, it dictates inflation too.

              It isn't my fault that a Chinese brand is making better products than another brand that still uses China to make their phones and what do you know, unless and until Google buys HTC, it remains a Chinese company by regional authority.

              Take the advice I gave the other guy and educate and inform yourself instead of looking for "aha, gotcha" moments on the internet. It's a ridiculous look on anyone.

              So... Yeah... Politics... Remains ever important.

                Bravosixgoingdark, 15 Jun 2024I don't really care much about the sd slot but removin... moreBro for me jack and SD slot does not matter much i was long time happy with wireless audio and since my phone have 256GB disk space and still have enough free i dont care much too.
                And have to say only Maps.me app cost me like 70GB because have all the offline maps of the world in phone. And thats just one app. Then some music, some movies and like 200 another apps which i use. Still have like 60GB free of disk space and have plenty of photos videos and many else in phone too.
                Gave up with cards for many reasons mostly the got broken quickly and there were no fix all data lost.
                For audio wireless one is good enough. For you jack is just hole but said hole comes with plenty of wires and cables inside.
                Rather will have a bigger battery than useless jack.
                Apple ditched them. Samsung ditched them everybody coud remove them for good.
                For said IPXX reasons jack and SD slot aint needed.
                There is plenty i would rather not to have in phone but thats a very long story for another time.

Oukite... moreI don't really care much about the sd slot but removing the industry standard 3.5mm jack and replacing it with "good enough" Bluetooth audio doesn't cut it, if they're replacing something the replacement should be equivalent or better than the thing they removed plus it doesn't even take up that much space to begin with the real reason was less parts mean its easier and cheaper for them, I don't remember them reducing the price for dropping features now?. The thing I'm saying is it should be there for people who use it. the reason midrange phones still have jacks is people who use them aren't gonna buy a high end wireless headphone to match the quality a mid tier wired one will give. At least some companies still care to offer jacks and sd slots on their flagships.

                    For real?no stereo sound??well, overall it's nice looking design phone.just have to improve specs like 4k+60fps and etc

                      This is 6,8 inch and dont come even with 5000 battery.

                      And wireless audio is good enough.
                      Anyone can use USB C earphones or earplugs if needed.

                        So motorola was a exact deal from me because something with litterary same specs made by Samsung cost twice as much same goes for many else brands.
                        I did not bought my phone because of IP rating but because of best possible specs for a lowest possible price. Have no SD slot or Jack either dont need that.
                        But a 125W charging is awesome.

                          I'm surprised HTC is holding up pretty good, since they release like 1-2 phones per year and dip.

                          a Telephoto Camera and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 are both pretty good addition, but with that, the 12MP Ultrawide is no more, and is replaced with an 8MP one...
                          I STILL wonder when will companies use 12MP Ultrawide cameras for their higher priced midrangers.

                          speaking of higher priced and midrangers, this one doesn't seem to be priced like one, at a whopping 599 Dollars!! man, inflation and greed are such a ditch... oh god, soon enough midrangers will be priced at 799 dollars, I can definitely see it.

                          overall, it's, again, a generic midranger, don't expect it to pull any new tricks or gimmicks unlike the old HTC phones.

                                it could be a lot cheaper without useless SD slot, Jack and IPXX rating but okay.
                                Also should have more battery without those 3.
                                Everything looking okay but in a 12+512GB and age and era where anyone can buy a waterproof case which does 100000000 times better tricks and protects even against sea salt water said IPXX rating or SD slot or Jack is really not needed.
                                Biggger battery like 6000 mAh would do.

                                  Nowdays when every other phone have 12-16GB ram along with 256-1TB storage micro SD slot or jack aint needed.
                                  Wireles audio is great enough and said IP rating any alliexpress case for 2 bucks does way more tricks.
                                  And like this phone cant withstand few rain drops.
                                  Even a low cost phone like redmi A2 can survive few rain drops.

                                    With 7 gen 3 and said specs its awesome.
                                    With 8s gen 3 and said specs it could be gruesome beast.
