all your installed apps are listed in the (optimize Foreground apps tab) and you use the toggle switch by each app to determine which apps you want the rez optimized and which apps you will leave optimization off so it can run at the full 1440 x 2560. there is no manual option as on the S8.
and as I said before the power saver modes are only 2.
Power saver..... which can be manually turned on or set to auto switch on at 50, 20, 15, 10 or 5% battery life.
Extreme power saving mode..... also can be manually turned on or set to auto switch on at 50, 20, 15, 10 or 5% battery life.

- setting 1 - (the one which I use) - 16hours 22minutes
- setting 2 - 20hours 7minutes
- setting 3 - 50hours 34minutes
there are also 3 screen resolution modes -
- setting HD+ - 1480 x 720
- setting FHD+ - 2220 x 1080
- setting WQHD+ - 2960 x 1440
I always use the WQHD for the best resolution because if you've got you may as well use it and enjoy it. I would imagine your Ultra has something similar.

With the 2nd mode being a extreme mode. That strips the phone down 2 just phone calls, SMS, email, calendar & calculator. The run time is insane with extreme mode on.

It's not going to last as long as a phone with a 4000mAh Battery. But it will last as long as or longer than the s8 that also has a 3000mAh Battery.

Hi, I'm going to buy a new mobile, and I found that U ultra has a very good specs. for the price, but everybody here is talking about battery life, is it really that bad, does it has a battery saving mode or so? I'm new to HTC and really have a limited budget, please advice.

but I'm not holding my breath that it would happen, especially now that the 2016 HTC 10 already got Oreo. being skipped over like that is not a good sign.
and HTC USA live chat reps are no help with getting info on the matter.
