        Answer:-
It would have been nice to know your background in terms of whether this is your 1st android and which was the previous phone you had.. Nevertheless I'll try to give you a brief idea.

        Advantages:-
        1. UI - HTC Sense UI is the best android adaptation. Gives lots and lots of customisation options, and looks beautiful. I generally found the responsiveness of HTC better than others. But this is subjective. Also, I like the gallery of this phone better than the stock android gallery used by samsung/lg. Again a personal choice.
        2. Solid Build quality. Sleek and looks executive.
        3. Updated to froyo, so you get the advantages of making it a wifi hotspot.
        4. Lots of apps available from the android market. You won't stop exploring this phone for months.
        5. In terms of social networking, it's very good.

        Disadvantages:-
        1. Screen resolution -
        2. Camera though 5 meg, but not great. Has problem in the image stabilisation department.
        3. Video player - if you want to watch a lot of videos, do not buy this phone. You will have to convert all videos and downscale them to an inferior resolution.

[Varun] It is a totally free upgrade. You do not have to pay anything for it..

Also can i download it from website and do it my own or do i need to take it to the service center?
[Varun] You can do it on your own. You do not have to take it anywhere. Just go to :-
Settings-> About Phone -> System Software updates. Press "check for updates". It will prompt you with the steps. Just follow the steps. The file is about 60MB, so it would be better if you use a wifi connection to upgrade, but Normal 2G GPRS/EDge can also be used.

Do not forget to sync your data. Though I did not face any data loss even though i had not synced/ backed up my stuff..

Anonymous, 15 Mar 2011Any Idea when HTC WildFIRE will be released with Android 2.3?HTC has announced some days back that HTC Wildfire will not be getting Android 2.3.
The only way to get it now is rooting your phone if you are very keen to get it..

deb, 15 Mar 2011Can anyone kindly confirm whether this is good to buy phone... moreIt's a good buy for the price. To use the full features you must have data internet or wifi access (at least to get the cool apps, it is a smart phone) and taking pics in the night or low light really suck, especially if you target moves a little they come out blurred. Daytime photos are fine. If you want a camera phone around the same price try the Sony Ericsson Vivaz :)

quite likely. but i could be wrong. i use to hav an LG GT540 Optimus which was 480x320, luckily alot of the mainstream/important apps worked with it (unit converters, angry birds etc). I now have a Desire. Since the wildfire is 320x240 I can't say for sure. You could always try to search youtube for clips of apps you know you'll definitely want/use, that run on the wildfire. Hope this helps.
