ozlem, 21 Mar 2011ive got a htc wildfire, ive been trying to upgrade to 2.2 a... moreive got a htc wildfire, ive been trying to upgrade to 2.2 atleast but i go to settings, about phone and system software updates then clickd on check now but it comes up saying your phone is up to date, ther are no update available for your phone!!!!! how am i ever going to upgrade to 2.2??? plz help
Answer: Android updates are operator dependent. That means, even if an update has come to your phone, to ensure some kind of control over the traffic on their servers, google rolled out updates operator(mobile phone operator like Orange or AT&T) wise..
Just google for the operator you are using whether it has already got an update or not.
Even if you haven't got an update, it should be coming soon. So don't worry.

This phone is brilliant.
I bought this phone after my ancient Samsung sgh500 broke down on me the other day. I'd always wanted a HTC, so when I saw this for 140 pounds, I bought it on a whim. I usually live to regret impulse buys, but not with the wildfire. It's quick, you never need to wait more than a few seconds for sonething to load, it never freezes, its easy to use, has an eye catching display, but best of all it is so practical. I use it for college, when im bored, when I need to find things out etc. This is basically HTC's spin on the iPhone.
The camera is so so, but they always are phones - it does for art.
The only drawbacks are the resolution, which I didn't even notice until a review said about it, but it is a tiny bit pixelated, but you really wont notice. Also, the apps are not as good as appke ones. And speaking of Apple, if you have a touch or iPhone, you will find the keyboard hard to use for a but, but i really am picking up the tiny details here. this is an excellent phone, compact, but full of useful stuff. It's everything a higher procedures Android phone is, but without the flawless graphics and stuff you don't really need.
