Hello All.. i got this phone 2 weeks back and it is just a brilliant phone. I upgraded to 2.2 (In India) this week ( no problem so far).
I would advice to buy this :)

Hi, i want to buy a new phone around 14000(INR), i am confused between Nokia X6 8GB and HTC wildfire.
can any one please tell me which one is better, can i make a videocall (on 3G network)from both phone, and what is the sale package item in both phone.

hi, it is a very gd ph. It support skyfire and firefox mobile browser. OS android is great. I'm using ths for 2 month. Really......It is a great ph in low budget. Go for it.

hi, I bought HTC Wildfire 1 week back. I am unable to use gmail,friendstrem,twitter like apps. I have airtel connection and just able to these through browsing. Please let me know how can use and configure those apps and also download android apps to enhance Wildfire capability and features. Thanks in advance

I love this phone! so happy I bought it. Mine's white & looks super aweosome. Battery easily lasts 1 & half-2 days with texting,calling & a bit of gprs thrown in. I have downloaded plenty from apps,customized it & what not.
Highly recommended!!!

How is the cam and display quality after upgrade to Android 2.2 ?

I have been using Wildfire since the past 2 months. While buying I had the very same confusion.
Why I chose Wildfire?
1. camera is 5 megapixels. LG Optimus has 3.2 megapixel.
2. There is flash. LG Optimus doesn't have it.
3. I really liked the HTC Sense, gave me more customisation option. Also, in general I was more fond of the HTC UI and the way they arranged the whole menu.
4. It's super slim. Looks are business class.
5. 16 million colour screen vs LG optimus' 256k colour screen.
Now, the minuses w.r.t Optimus are:-
1. Lower screen resolution.
320x480 vs 240x320.
This also results in relatively lower number of apps available for the phone. (wildfire)
Screen is bad, but something i can live with, whereas a camera without flash, is almost useless. My priority was camera, since I need to take pics of text in book or bills or something and keep them. plus the UI and customisation, since Android is all about that.
As far as 2.3 upgrade is concerned, the only info available at the moment is that HTC did announce that gingerbread would be coming to most of the HTC phones, but neither the models, nor the dates were announced. But there are 2 things:-
1. 2.3 didn't get many upgrades compared to 2.2.
2. If the competitors got it, HTC will definitely get it. (My personal opinion).
Choice is yours..

HTC Wildfire phone is having very good opinion/review posted by users with very few drawbacks(Battery-->All Andriod facing this issue & Resolution-->Not a big deal)
