With regards to your inquiry,
Kindly note that Google has made us aware of an issue affecting updates to Android-powered handsets those results in the Android Market client becoming completely disabled after a platform software update. As a result, HTC has decided to temporarily suspend all current FOTA (Firmware over the Air) updates that upgrade our phones from one Android platform version to another.. HTC is committed to providing customers with the best possible user experience. We are working closely with Google to resolve this issue quickly and will resume our programme of updates as soon as this issue is resolved.
And we are working closely with Google and our other partners to ensure we have the earliest access to everything we need to provide a complete and solid Sense experience on Froyo. We expect to release all updates but can't be more specific yet."

Great phone except some limitations. Some apps like Skype, TWC, etc are not available for this phone, may be due to QVGA screen. High res videos are not supported. Battery is not so good. Another thing... Alphabet input is not available for USSD inputs, even cut/paste does not work which is a setback for services like Mobitaka in Grameenphone, Bangladesh.
And the major one... Some Unicode fonts are not available here. So you can't see Bangla/Devnagri/Hebrew etc!!!

Yeah a bought one from argos used it for a week then taken it back was very unhappy with the screen quality, battery and the fact no games work on it! and got a lg optimus which is much faster phone a lot better screen res, better processor, and plays just about all games off app market! I could not get one games to work on the wildfire, and the optimus is £30 cheaper! And battery is alot better too.

htc is heavily promoting this phone along with htc smart here in the Philippines instead of the much better but more expensive htc desire. i wonder why? maybe they are trying to clear their huge inventories. :-0

I see in the UK this phone is now only 129 pounds at argos, now to me that seems very good value. 240x320 is a bit of a let down, mainly because not many apps work at that resolution. But like the overall quality. I don't own one, but not that impressed with my desire. This phone is smaller, and has HTC quality. At that price OK, same as an x8 SE here. Ok that has a higher res screen, but surely this is a good deal.

this phone is pap! i cant believe the price of it, when i could go to asda and buy a phone with a lot better screen res for £30 that screen really lets this phone down and camera is poor and battery needs charged twice a day!!! terrible phone.

this phone is mediocre..it doesn't live up to its expectation as "htc desire mini" cause there's no android 2.2 which allows installing apps into micro sd. the internal phone memory will run out very fast.i'm so regret to have bought this HTC wildfire....i rather buy huawei which runs android 2.2 froyo at a cheaper price(can install apps into 32 gb micro sd which means unlimited apps)...
