ramesh, 16 Jul 2010Was searching for right price for wave, but friends telling... morehi!! i was also confused between wave and wildfire....but everyone is suggesting i should go for wildfire too.... anyways, are liking the performance of this phone?? DOES IT have the option of live animated weather wallpaper like the ones in HTC hd2 or hd mini???? please reply!!!

Was searching for right price for wave, but friends telling not to go for BADA.. rather go for android.. got this .. looking really cool .. except the resolution .. thats really crap.

I bought mine yesterday for 15.5k. just as i was to open the box htc distributor walks in to the shop and takes back all the wildfire phones and says they are sending it to delhi for software update. he has a bag full of wildfires from all the shops around the area and says it will come back from delhi in 2 days.
had he come after 5 minutes i would have left the shop and probably no update for me.

17000 rupees is equivalent to tk 25000 taka in bangladesh....but in bangladesh the price of wildfire is taka 32000....i think they are asking too much....

However, the distri guys tell me they are selling for 16500 to the dealers and as such your deal must have caused the poor dealer to earn a loss! I got mine for 17K though and as I was one of the first if not the first to get Wildfire in Kolkata I didnt know for sure the exact price the distris were transferring at that time to the dealers. 3 days later now I know it is 16.5K to dealers and hence any amount less than that has to be a steal.

All apps will never work in any phone in India as India is blocked by Google from buying and selling apps in the marketplace. Among the apps that are free many work and I havent faced any that didnt work or wont work.

In fact those apps do not even appear in the listings and are blocked by Google as India is blocked by Google from buying and selling apps in the marketplace.

Deep, 13 Jul 2010u bought it from chandni?? and how is the scrn resolution..... moreOk and acceptable and works with many apps downloaded as well as custom written for business use. However, the downside is Google marketplace is blocked for Indians to both buy and sell apps and as such Android app advantage is actually not an advantage.
Screen brightness and handling is as good as iphone in fact tech specs say it is the same technology and quality.

good, however many apps will not function in this resolution but the ones people normally need will all work. And importantly in India you cant use paid apps from Marketplace as India is blocked by Google to buy and sell apps on the marketplace.

Bought the phone from Shimla......my first HTC phone...I must admit it is the best phone I've used till date. Its value for money. HTC Rocks!!

Can anyone confirm the languages Wildfire supports? Especially if Japanese and Chinese Input is possible?
