HTC Wildfire S software updates
From time to time, software updates for HTC Wildfire S may be available. HTC Wildfire S can check and then notify you if there’s a new update. You can then download and install the software update using the Wi-Fi or data connection. You can also manually check if there's an available software update.
Checking for updates manually
1.From the Home screen, press MENY, and then tap Settings.
2.Tap About phone > Software updates > Check now.
Installing an update
Make sure HTC Wildfire S has a storage card inserted.
The update will be downloaded to the storage card.
1.Do any of the following after HTC Wildfire S receives a software update:
-If the display is on and you're not using any application, the Install system software update dialog box appears on screen. Select Install now, and then tap OK.
-If you're in a call, the update notification icon appears in the status bar. After the call, slide open the Notifications panel, and then tap the update notification.
2.Wait for the update to download and install on HTC Wildfire S. When the update is finished, HTC Wildfire S will automatically restart.

It knocks spots off the Galaxy Ace for ease of use.Go for the Wildfire .

Is it possible to install new s... moreIt is pretty difficult to install new ROM,you can find all information on xda-developers site.You can buy HTC Explorer,it has full Flash support,or better wait for new HTC phones that will come this month.I installed Puffin browser on my Wildfire S,it plays all flash videos in browser but choppy,maybe a new version of this browser will be better.

go to setting>>at last u find About Phone >>Software Updates>>Check Now>> we will get updates of 2.3.5
Note: Please can get this setting by only wi-fi

Is it possible to install new such rom that supports adobe flash n if yes how cud it be installed n from where? Plz must rply. I love this phone but due to unsupported adobe flash, im sad n without adobe support i wont buy it.

AnonD-30121, 07 Feb 2012wildlifire s has flash lite n doesn't support flash player.... moreIt can play Youtube videos very well because it has Youtube App installed,but not all other sites with Flash videos.If you want full Flash support you need to root and install new ROM.

Does it support flash player content? Please must reply. I want to buy a phone wid adobe player suqort n if this can play all video on internet then i will buy this mobile. Specially youtube videos.

Reasons to consider the Explorer:
1. Faster max data speeds(HSDPA (14.4 mbps vs HSDPA(7.2 mbps))
2. More standby time(19.1 days vs 15 days)
3. Slightly more talk time (7.6 hours vs 7.1 hours)
Reasons to consider the Wildfire S:
1. Has an assisted GPS(Assisted GPS vs GPS)
2. Higher resolution camera (5 MP vs 3 MP)
3. Slightly thinner (12 mm vs 13 mm)
4. Has a Corning Gorilla Glass
