i bought this fone 1 week ago , and its performance is ok but battery life is very low in my fone i am getting only 1 hr talk-time on 2g,

It is even better than lumia 820. better screen resolution, but 820 has better battery life. But i choose 8x becouse of good screen and good resolution. Sorry for my english if there was any mistakes. I'm still learning.

I am owner two of HTCs, First one - HTC ONE S and the second one HTC 8X.
First of all, the Android for phones is much better OS for phones than Windows 8 for phones.
Windows is not usersfriendly at all, the additional functions as WI-FI, Bluetooth is much harder to set, they are also separated in menu....etc..etc...
And second time, HTC ONE S is much much better as a phone also in comparenes with 8X.
