Was very happy with the Windows X8 until about 6 months into service it stoped recieving texts with media content attached and would not allow the user to send media content as well. Phone loses batter life quickly. Has problems with connecting to internet for downloads. Drops calls and will freeze when playing games or browsing internet. I will go back to an IPhone never had any issues.

Super phone.More faster than Galaxy S3.Best quality from HTC.Super design.Super speaker.Super display.Music is great.Super hardware.Buy it.Never regret.I forget my S3 on the desk.Congratulations HTC !!!

Very desappointed of this device. WP8 is boring by design and missing even simple things. Microphone is weak, and make harder to your opponent to hear you. Sound vise versa is strong, and clear. Quality of pictures and video picture is very good, but (remember microphone?) record sound is bad as it hell: not clear at all!!! Not comfortable to handle it, 'couse slim adges. Display very clear and contrast. Restarts without reason on incoming call (in two week happened twice) when you tap "Answer". Here in Israel problems with acessories. Averall 3 point from 5. P.S. Microsoft services (s.a. map, location, search) very poore. Missing my Google!!! Gonna by another phone soon, definitely not WP8.

Htc x8 is a nice phone but after 2 or 3 games it is overheating.is it normal for smartphones?.

the only thing that interest me about this phone is that it have the loudest headphones output on the market with built-in special amplifier made by beats,like nokia n91 had harman-kardon. it is louder and stronger on headphones than all ipads,even louder than ipad 4. i use sony xb 700 and 800 headphones with it and i think i have the club in my head. and the display is superb

I start using 8x about 2 weeks now.greatest htc ... moreYou know son,I get a full day on full charge,with using Wi-fi,calling and what not...and there were times that I was talking with my handsfree and playing games at the same time and it didn't get that hot as you were mentioning.
overall it's a really great phone,absolutely eye catching design,built by really great high quality materials that is a joy to get your hands on...
the only downside is that WP is still doesn't have some of the best apps that android or iOS has,but I'm happy with my 8x ;)

hi guys..
I start using 8x about 2 weeks now.greatest htc creation..but unfortunately my battery won't stay more than 8hours.incase if i use bluetooth or wi-fi it last for 6hours.. worst thing is if i talk more than 30mins it start heating up like crazy.i can't even hold the phone in my hand..so now i'm bit worried about it and don't know what do though i'm in 24months contract :(

Battery question!
I have X8 for about 2 weeks and it works great but in last 2 days I’m having problems with battery.
It last only for max 8 hours!!!!
Do you have any suggestion what to do?

Hi is there much difference between 8s and 8x bar the CPU speeds and camera or are they not even in the same (newby) Cheers.

it should have micro sd card slot and dual sim capabilities then it will nice phone as per todays market requierment

reading all these great reviews about this phone it's seriously pretty strange to see that how come it has got such low ratings when all its users are calling it sooo awesome :-/
