Since they are not going to support (no further updates etc) this phone you can dump this one. Their one big push in the US market with the mate 2 is FAIL. They need to go back to China those people are used to being screwed over.

I have already received one OTA update from Huawei that corrected a mp3 playing conflict, that update also improved camera performance.
I really enjoy my HAM2, performance and battery life are outstanding. How long have you had your HAM2?

Do not buy this phone, Huawei USA has just announced it will no longer support it. No KitKat and no Lollipop updates anymore, useless phone.

I love love this phone, I had flagship models all the time and honestly the user experience is just as good, fast, reliable, huge and the best part, I finally can go up to 4 days without charging it. Remember before smartphones we use to do that, well, mate 2 brings back that capability.
Techs. Works in the US with ATT & T-Mobile with 4g LTE with both.

Engineer, 24 Oct 2014Is this ASCEND MATE 2 4G upgradable to coming versions of a... moreOn the other hand, owners of devices slated to get frequent updates often wait the whole life of their device for the "next update" to fix their problems. My friends galaxy s3 is now on its last update - kit Kat - and guess what? Battery life is still terrible. The sweet deal with Ham2 is everything works, and works well. The hardware is already middle of the road at time of release, and contributes to one of the best features - battery life. Most people picking up this phone already don't care about top of the line hardware, and I'll take a tried and true, trouble free os that works with all apps instead of bleeding edge, buggy beta state software any day. Thank-you!
