You said about at least one active rom for mate 7... moreIt's a stock rom based on the latest firmware. Search for Ale95 KangVip V3.1 on the Mate 7 XDA page, I'm using it at the moment with no bigger issues. There are some smaller bugs of course, but after you went through the configuration progress (it has a lot more settings than the regular EMUI) it's way better than stock rom. There's also a Honor 6 Plus port, but it's newer and has therefore still many bugs.
I can't tell you how the battery life is though because I'm never doing the same things with my device. But I have GPS/LTE always enabled, brightness rarely below 100%, I play games all the time especially when I'm not at work and I'm listening to my music with bluetooth and the display is active all the time while I drive(I mount the device on the windshield in my car so I can easily switch music). When I come home in the evening the battery is usually at like 35% so I guess there's no battery drain coming from the rom.

It is a known issue, If I remember correctly the battery or the CPU/GPU is not separated well enough from the LCD itself.

Many Chipsets from Snapdragon, Mediatek and also Huaweis own Kirin chipsets are unable to run Android 7, in case of Huawei it's the following: Kirin 620, Kirin 920, Kirin 925, Kirin 930, Kirin 935 (Mali GPU).

I have this phone 1 years ago and it is working perfectly on android 6.0 .Does any one here know if mate 7 will get android 7 nogut or not.please answer me and how to make this.best regards

I had ... moreI have my mate 7 for a year now, no problems with it whatsoever, except one, whenever i change my wallpaper it gets dimmer on the homescreen, the lockscreen is displaying 100% brightness but not the homescreen. It dims the wallpaper to, say...80% of it brightness. I even tried it with another launcher and it still has the same issue. Does anyone know how to adress this? I think its an EMUI feature but i would like to get rid of it

First one after 2 to 3 mounts
Ans second after just 14 days of use

I had this phone 2 years ago
After about 2 to 3 mounts screen got wihte patches, little bit first and grown time by time until i got mad and came to service center ... they told me my device has not warranty enymore...
Then i sold my phone and stuipidly got a new one again
Just after 14 days these patches have came again and my device is in service center for replace screen. ..
Can anyone can tell us if they facing same problem or had one?
I think this is because battery behind the screen

Anonymous, 19 Jan 2017Do you think it's good enough to buy in 2017Throw a new launcher on it (because the stock launcher is what most people dislike) and enjoy a phone with a huge screen without having to worry about charging the phone. The performance obviously isn't the best anymore but it only really matters in games (GTA Sa for example needs the lowest settings to be playable), other than that you won't have any problems. Roms are a problem tho if you are interested in that kind of stuff, but there's at least one active rom.
