With the smart cover on, slight press will open the screen.
I want to use it without the smart cover because it shows the real premium body without the cover. Especially the gold color.

Never heard of getting heated/hot like samsung/sony or lg devices, and have long life than other brands

And I hate it because the fingerprint sensor is not working without the smart cover on.
Planning to sell it soon and buy Note 4.

Go to settings, put developer options to on, then switch on stay awake (screen will never sleep while charging) then plug in your charger while you are downloading the whole porn movie overnight.

problem solve!!! hello~~ is just 30min maximum? for automatically sleep. means that i cant 'auto lock off' the screen and download stuff for a whole midnight with faster speed?? :(

i just bought one today! shuold be a great phone.. but im wondering that where can i disable sleep mode? for example: im downloading something and i leave it there.. it will automatically go on black screen after about 15 sec and downloading become damn slow zz .. so i need to keep tapping when im downloading stuff lol anyone can HELP?? PLS ~ thanks :)

It cannot recognize fingerprint without the smart cover.
If I remove the smart cover, I cannot unlock it with my fingerprint.
I tried to register new fingerprint without the smart cover but it just won't respond.

I... moreTo be honest it is difficult cause both phones are excellent. I do not have experience with the 3GB Korean models but mine was the 2GB kind and did suffer from some stuttering in the UI here and there. Battery life was good but not as good as the Mate7. The QHD screen to me seems like a gimmick (difference between the6" FHD and 5.5" QHD is negligible).
It comes down to price and another important thing is availability of service, if there are no Huawei service centers nearby keep that in mind if anything should go wrong (unlikely). But truly a hard choice, if between S5 and Mate7 it would be easy but G3 is a great phone, still leaning to Mate7 though!
