Just updated to EMUI 9.1 (9.1.0.300) with EROFS, GPU Turbo 3.0 and latest security patch for July 2019. Well done, Huawei!

In term of price they are roughly the same (where I live at least). But Mate 10 is better overall in my opinion because it has flat screen, front fingerprint reader, dual speakers, no curved edges, Ir blaster and it will get Android Q. While S8+ probably won't.
I'm not really a fan of EMUI that's my biggest gripe with huawei. If U went with Samsung I recommend to get at least the S9+ in 2019.

Bought this phone yesterday for half the price of mate 20 pro I think it's a good deal. It was the last unit in the store. ALP-L29
I really hate the new tall curved, notch plagued phones.
I hope HUAWEI revert to more simplified design. Until then I'm gonna hold to this one.

Im a lil bit outdated guy, im willing to buy one of this but something concern me is how bout the "future" of this mate 10, since google will no longer support this phone
If it stuck in pie will it still get every application's update or it will be outdated?

This is the most beautiful phone out there, let alone how fast and smooth this phone is.
It’s 77mm width which is the same width as iPhone XS Max.
16:9 screen ratio was perfect. I hate Samsung for creating a fashion of narrow and tall displays as well as curved displays!
