I looked at other phones with the same height as this phone and found that the Samsung Galaxy A54 is exactly as tall as this Mate 20 (158.2 mm). However, it was narrower (76.7 mm for A54 vs 77.2 mm for Mate 20) and had a smaller 6.4" screen. That's the trade-off you get when having a taller screen.

I bought this phone in December 2018. Its mandate was finished in December 2022. I literally threw away my new phone yesterday and returned back to this beast. Such a beauty ❤️

I have Mate 20 HMA-L29 Cust 636, but im not receiving emui 10, 11 or 12 updates thru ota or Hisuite.
Any ways how to upgrade to EMUI 12?

and also when i use my 40w charger, it does not charge, the display said super charging for 1 second and then it stop, ive waited more than 10 mins but still it does not charge? pls help me and sorry for my poor english

Hanif Fikri, 30 Nov 2022I previously owned mate 10, 20 and 30. Videos was having a ... moreNope. Never has that problem for playing 2k vids. The only stuttering i had is only when playing 4k video with HDR and 60 FPS on the vids. Normal 4k doesnt stutter.

Anonymous, 30 Nov 2022What is your EMUI version? My phone is very fast battery drainI was having some problems with the battery on emui 12. I rolled it back to emui 11 and everything is fine now. I guess it's software issue, but let's hope they'll fix it on emui 13

I previously owned mate 10, 20 and 30. Videos was having a lot of stutter when playing at 1440p or higher. This is a software issue I guess...anyone noticed it too?

This is my favorite phone ever, can't get rid of him, is so reliable in so may aspects, to bad the pro version does not have 35mm jack and radio, only thing that I would love is an OLED screen but everything else is so good

I bought a Samsung 20FE but i am switching back to the Mate 20. There are so many pros for the Mate 20
-Fingerprint is way faster and more reliable
-Fast charging feels way faster. Battery time is aproximately the same
-Display feels way bigger because its broader and videos dont get cropped as much
-Perfomance is aproximately the same. Even so the Mate 20 is years older
-I had the phone for years and had very minor scratches on the screen. (You really have to search to find them)
The samsung has already 3 cracks XD after a few month.
Cons
The dropdown menue from emui (wish they would switch back to their old menue)
