DisappointedMan , 24 Jan 2019So I got my hands on this phone 14 days ago. I was unfortun... moreBasically on 1st batch of the phone they replace it on the spot if got gluegate issue. Considering maybe the phone out of stock, or maybe they are rules on how many days u used, they replace only the screen.

But fear not, they are precautions on the replacement, using a special room & equipment to keep the waterproof intact. Check out this video - https://youtu.be/blYlnUt4S_0

Eitherway, at least they do it for free & glad that the gluegate issue solve using warranty. But yeah, it must frustrating for the time spend on the service center, considering u pay a high price for it.

So I got my hands on this phone 14 days ago. I was unfortunately one of those unlucky guys who got the glue gate issue on mine. :(. I haven’t even heard of it before till it occurred on my mobile. Even worse, huawei didn’t replace phone to phone and just went on with replacing the screen ONLY! Now I’m having second thoughts whether will this phone last a long time. Also I reckon it’s not waterproof anymore since the waterproof seal has been broken. Utterly disappointed!!!

I have a question about this:
                    - Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic
I'm using now Xperia X performance + MDR NC750 with noise cancellation. Is it works with this phone? I don't want to change my headphones.

There is some confusion regarding NM (NanoSD) standard introduced by Huawei at Mate 20 series launch.

The primary driving force for NM (NanoSD) is to support future Hybrid Multi-SIM (Nano-SIM, Multi-SIM stand-by) within smartphones. NM is essentially a reduced version of MicroSD with identical internals. Size-wise, NM is identical to a Nano-SIM and 60% of the size of MicroSD. This makes support for Hybrid Multi-SIM simple. Multi-SIM refers to multiple nano-SIMs, more than 2 SIMs. If NM is not introduced, when future phones require support for Hybrid Multi-SIM, any support for additional memory extension will be difficult, due to space limitation. There is a growing demand for supporting 3-SIM-Stand-by (even 4-SIM-Stand-by) among Chinese smartphone buyers.

In terms of compatibility, price, performance and capacity, NM (nanoSD) is essentially identical to MicroSD. Every NM comes with a NM-to-MicroSD converter so NM is usable where microSD is usable. But in future Hybrid Multi-SIM slot, only NM will be supported. (NM can be put in where a NanoSIM is. You will need an additional larger slot for microSD if microSD is supported.)

The price for NM will be marginally higher than MicroSD initially, but will drop once its use is accepted. At this time, all NMs are OEM through Toshiba. Huawei doesn't charge license fees and makes no money out of it. Its acceptance will depend primarily on other Chinese smartphones makers. Whether other phone makers (Apple, Samsung, LG, SONY) adopt NM has no real-world impact.

Suppose you have a phone that supports 4-SIM-stand-by, but you only use one SIM. You can put in three 256GB NMs for 768GB extended memory. Isn't it wonderful? Have you ever imagined there will be a slot supporting multiple memory cards?

Vasi, 09 Jan 2019It does - 2160p@30fpsand also for u to know, Kirin 980 is 4k 60 fps capable and so are its cameras, this means we are an update away from having this mode on our Mate 20 series,
Same happened with pocophone , it came out with 4k 30fps only even though SD845 is capable of 4k60fps but now it got it along many other features on a new update

Anonymous, 20 Jan 2019Why? Are you bending your phone when using it?lets just day almost every smartphone nowdays being tested by jerryrigeverything do not crack their screen when being bend test but in case huawei p20 pro and mate 20 pro they cracked their screen immediately with only minimal force applied and not mention it was first try. (even pocophone survive lol)

Kirin 985 will be ready to beat SD855 in early 2019, and it is 5G ready. When kirin 990 is introduced in mid-year 2019, it will again pull ahead of SD855 by a margin, as usual. (Please note SD845 is a 10nm processor. SD855 and Kirin 980 are 7nm processors. Kirin 990 will be produced through a modified and improved 7nm process.)
