ILuvHuawei, 15 Apr 2022You can't. We will have to stick to android 10.EMUI no longer depends on Android's yearly upgrades. Huawei is providing its own upgrades through every software update.
So it is no longer relevant to compare EMUI based on Android version.

useless trash,just replaced brand new screen from huawei and touch goes crazy,fingerprint not work at all,junk and scrap is all they made

Updates are rolled out in batches. Please keep checking for updates through the system update app and also through the myhuawei app. You will definitely get it soon. By the way my region is UK

Updated to EMUI 12.0.0.132 today on my LYA-L29 Global. Visible changelog below:
-In boot screen "Powered by Android" Logo removed
-In "About Phone" menu, android version number is no longer visible (though still based on android 10)
-New control center in notification shade swipe down
-Onscreen fingerprint is greatly improved
-Big folder option
-Device+ added
-No double tap to screen unlock
-No call recorder option (tough can be enabled by installing an app for EMUI 11)
-No native carrier video call option while using VoWiFi (only voice call possible on VoWiFi)
-No dual video in camera added
-Camera watermark text still can't be edited
-Added Huawei MeeTime app
-Android security patch updated to 1-2-2022
- In camera app, the auto switching to Macro lens has become buggy (not working everytime when camera is brought closer to subject)
- Selfie camera is still not improved, (its still horrible)

updated to emui12 yesterday. battery life so far no change, phone remains calm and no heat issue. enlarge folder feature is good. clean and neat user interface. font look sharper. used tobe dark mode, but prefer normal mode right now. based on android 10 only? supposedly android 11 since huawei promised 2 years software upgrade. Shame on you huawei.

great phone i got it since summer 2019 and still performs the same as in the first day. camera is still great in comparison to today's comptetition, battery of course drains faster after 3 years of daily use, but holds very well, i mean average, not intensive use is no problem. i would recommend it to everyone searching for a high-end phone, but unfortunately it should be extremely difficult to find an unused one. huawei should do a remake of this as they did with p30 pro (there is for example a p30 pro "new edition" that came out one year after the release of the original p30 pro and it is the exact same device, you can search on gsmarena for it).

How long do Huawei phones receives updates? This phone is almost four years old and will receive EMUI 12 and security patch.

and thats why many phone companies now produce their flagship with flat screen, coz flat more flexible, at least easier to touch. I am owning mate20pro, mate20 and p30. so i felt it.
