kraken, 19 Oct 2018its too big and too expensive and I don't like the kirin c... moreYes its expensive. its has triple Cam 40MP, Advanced AI. Their AI is not like " hello world " C++ program. QHD OLED, 4200mah, fast wireless charging. 40W fast charge,Gorilla Glass 5. Advanced 3D face. Yes, it's expensive when not in Asian country. In my country, Huawei Mate 20 Pro is 80$ cheaper than Samsung Note 9. its not worth when you keep complaining. Get a better job, Get one of best huawei best flagship. then you would love it.

Darkshadow, 19 Oct 2018Yup true 7nm more transistors equal to more efficiency..fur... moreYeah the four low cores are another reason for the efficiency

My thoughts on the new camera-arrangement: Looks really neat, but such a large glass surface with a void behind it, proud of the phone, will probably be very prone to cracking and scratching.

The in-screen fingerprint sensor is also a nice gimmick, yet now you are no longer able to use a screen protector - you can of course go for the 3d facial recognition, but I think there might be some security features of third party services now and in the future that will not be compatible with facial scan and rather expect fingerprint authentication.

I think the M20 Seires in general is quite a mixed bag - each phone somehow lacks a critical feature. The M20 pro seems like an amazing phone, but I would really have liked to see a 3.5 mm audio jack on that thing.

That is all I have to say directly about the M20 pro, now for my rant about WHY I think the 3.5mm audio jack is really important, so if that doesn't interest you, stop reading here.

I mean I get it, being a hollow cavity inside the phone's body it takes up a 'significant' amount of space in a phone, and it probably also makes waterproofing a bit more difficult, but still - this is a trend I really don't like or care for - I am someone who quite frequently looses/or misplaces his headphones so I own several cheaper pairs and just grab whichever I happen to stumble upon when/if I am in need of them. If I where to switch to bluetooth headphones, the battery would constantly be dead if I really need one, and although this phone can wirelessly charge devices on the go, that doesn't work with headphones, and especially not while you are wearing them.
Using USB-C to 3.5mm adapters is also not an option I think, because it makes a way of accessing music, which hasn't been brand specific in a very long time, a somewhat proprietary system again.
Also, if you are like me,you would need to put an adapter which costs at least as much and in some cases even twice the price of the headphone itself with every pair of headphones you own, and thereby essentially more than doubling their worth. This defeats the purpose of cheap headphones and is therefore also not an option.

I know the mate20 has one, but it isnt IP68 which is really important, and it has an LCD - aside from the 3.5 mm jack and an undersized battery the two biggest dealbrakers for me in a phone - hence my mixed bag statement.

Either of the phones in the Mate20 series would be essentially perfect if you added one feature

Walter C. Dornez, 19 Oct 2018It's the process is made in. It's 7nm compared to the 10nm ... moreYup true 7nm more transistors equal to more efficiency..furthermore both chipset use 8 cores but Kirin 980 divided by 3 group 2x 2.6ghz (high) 2x 1.92ghz (medium) and 4x 1.8ghz (low)..for sd 845 use 2 group 4x 2.8ghz (high) 4x 1.7ghz (low)..for example if u have 8 workers and then u divided them by 2 group which is 4 in each group but not every task need to use 4 people maybe 2 more than enough..so that the balance workers can do other task..same like the kirin 980 it will be more efficient and fully utilise..so that it will do task more faster

Diel, 18 Oct 2018Hello! I can't understand why the new Kirin 980 is faster t... moresanpdragon 845 is kryo 385 gold(it means cortex A-75 cores) where as kirin 980 uses cortex A-76 cores(its more powerful compared to A-75)
it means Kirin 980 is better and powerful processor compared to snapdragon 845 soc.

It sounds good and attractive. But the price is too high. I don’t think anybody will choose this phone at this price against an iPhone. The features may be better than an iPhone X but can they assure the durability and security of an iPhone? Huawei phones are better than Samsung phones but it is a competitive phone with Apple.

In my country which is the us this is expensive since I cannot buy this directly from a store I would need to go to a third party site such as aliexpress and from there the pro variant wold cost me 1250!. I like this phone but it's way outta my price range. i am instead gonna wait for one plus 6t 🤔
