Yeah it's running android, open source android, so try download ny google APKs and they won't open because this open source androide is missing google mobile services (GMS) that you will have to sideload, get this phone if you're willing to do that (though most wouldn't recommend) or simply ditch Google services

Google simply wants to control everything. It will be good if we can have sth different. I would like to try mate 30pro. The only drawback for the time being perhaps is map service. Need to find replacement of gmaps...

The most ugly phone in the world. Beats iPhone 11 at ugliness. It sure has got position 1 in the world for ugliness. Oh, and did I mention that it is thick and has two flashes for no apparent reason.

kcyow, 05 Dec 2019I was told that GMS can be installed on Huawei Mate 30/Pro.Very correct sir..its easy.. i bought this phone in Malaysia Huawei shop..voala, 5 minutes later, all google apps installed..no problem..

Even if Google Services are installed google pay, some banking apps and other apps who
are requiring Googles Safety Net are not working.
I would still purchase the phone if Wifi Call would be possible which i need because in many rooms i have no signal.
I dont think this will change soon since Vodafone and others will not include Mate 30 pro
In their Wifi Service in the near Future.

Koreans have a huge experience in R&D. Note 10 Plus is an example, all round better but fails in inflated specs like the Chinese competition (which is fiercely)
I would buy any day a Korean product rather than Chinese competition... why? Their market is enough.

Bought this beast yesterday. So far, i still can live a normal life without any google apps/services, bcoz i can still use them with normal browser. For gaming, i usually sync my accounts using Facebook account so i can log in easily at ANY device (include ios too). So here is my short summary,
Design: Indeed one of most beautiful phone rn and eye-catching whenever i use it at public. Mine is Space Gray btw.
Performance : The best i've experienced so far, even my father's Galaxy Note 10+ got beaten by it lol.
Camera: Maybe the likes of Google Pixel will beat it. Not sure.
Battery n charging speed: Played PUBG for 10 games straight at Erangel (usually 20-30mins per game) n battery drop from 100% - 50+%. A beast of battery and SoT efficiency. For charge speed, i think its the fastest charging speed for 2019 phones.
Speakers n call clarity: Good speakers and clear call quality. No headphone jack? No problem. I use bluetooth earphone btw, and can charge it via reverse wireless charge via my Mate. Simply just put it at the back of my phone.

123, 03 Dec 2019can Google Pixel 4 match mate30pro photo quality and video ?It will just beat it in every aspect. However I can't recommend a Pixel device. The OS is great and the cameras too, but Google is just using really bad hardware on every iteration of this phone. Don't get a Huawei phone either, without Google services it's like owning a digital camera.

Hi, I purschased a Mate 30 Pro 5G but the plug charger is british and I need a spanish plug.
I bought at Amazon an original 40W 10V 4A Huawei charger for Huawei P30, Huawei P30 Pro, Huawei P30 Lite. This is the CP84 model because Mate 30 Pro brings the same 40W battery charge.
Is it right my plug purchase? Thanks!
