Best phone ever. After 3 years still working flawlessly, robust, good camera, good battery, never slow down, and some very interesting features.

Loved this phone.....
Unfortunately I stupidly lost it earlier this year and have been stuck with a S8+ which was released after the Mate 9 and it pales in comparison to the Mate. Inferior in EVERYTHING except bluetooth connectivity. Getting a Nova 5t soon, hopefully that will have the same lasting power

Great Device! 4 years kicking with me 24/7.
Amazing Camera, long lasting battery, large screen.
What else you want from your Babe', loyal friend.

My Mate 9 will be 3 YO in October 2020, but still working like a charm. Got it second hand, but never had any problems, only slightly overheating when being used extensively, and of course, battery losing capacity over time (unavoidable). Received updates on regular basis, now running on 9.10, really the best phone ever. I will be sad when I'll be forced to replace it.

Great phone -- but the camera issues are plaguing it. The camera going blurred is a recurrent issue.

YL, 08 May 2020Hi, if you don't mind I saw your replied on someone comment... moreI don't know for sure, but I would assume the storage is flash memory and a battery does not need to be connected for that to work. HOWEVER... I would suggest backing up essential files anyway before changing out the battery, or having someone do that. USB-C flash drives should be available from various retailers.
