Goran, 21 Jun 2017It's definitely not normal, mine is losing 1-2%Have you tinkered with the device manager? Are all but the important apps toggled in the "Close apps after screen lock" setting?

I am using this phone since past six months almost and it runs still like a charm never felt any lag or any thing else and MLA as they advertised it working great, very good camera, good friendly battery consumption due to low resolution screen but trust me it's not a problem 1080p is enough, great sound quality with speakers and with my Sony BT650 head gears, fluent and fast, great battery time, runs every thing you through on it, never heats to abnormal extents even i use it like donkey and abused with very very heavy usage, right now installed almost 90 apps and phone works like a breeze, great build quality cause dropped it several times but this phone can.manage serious shocks, what else do you need and expandable storage is bonus with crazy fast charging and I mean it crazy
Within this line of budget it's still a very good option
Only and only and only grudge is no water proofing but still I never missed it alot cause the rest of every thing is working greatly
The updates are continuously coming and making my experience great and security up to date and last but not the least the finger print sensor is fast accurate and well placed
Over all it's a very good device but people who are asking about comparing it with iPhone 7 plus so that is different class and category because I own that too and they both are great devices with there own strengths
Down sides must be there but for me it's more than a pleasant experience with both devices and I feel I have almost the best of both worlds.

Hi, I bought my new Huawei Mate 9 in May & have been using it for 2 months now and realised that i am unable to change the "font style" on my display option in settings. Only font size size is there,,,, I tried downloading other font styles on playstore but it won't work when applied. I haven't updated my phone yet.. Please appreciate some feedback, Maverick

I find it strange that you experiance trouble with messages delivered on your Mate 9.
I know that was a problem on the older Huawei's even up to the P9. In my household we are using a Mate 9 and P10 Lite and none of them have that problem anymore. Maybe you will have to take a closer look at your back ground settings or it might be different to the models that we are using in South Africa.

Have owned Samsung phones up until now. The latest 7.0 update on my Galaxy Note 5 made me switched to a Huawei Mate 9 which is overall a very powerful phone.
However, hate the fact that none of the important apps including dropbox, social media, etc can run in the background. So you don't get any new messages until you physically open the app. That's not a smartphone but a dumphone setting.
Jabra Bluetooth headset also consistently disconnects, media audio sometime plays through headset, sometimes through device.
No select and merge option in contact app.
Just a pretty looking phone but not very practical.
Was avoiding the Galaxy S8+ but looks like I will have to make the switch back to Samsung now.

Mary, 20 Jun 2017Just a quick question, I find that my mate 9 drains at 10 %... more10% is too much if compared to my Mate9 (MHA-L29) which is draining only 2% of battery throughout the night. Try doing a factory reset...don't forget to backup your files before doing so. Also try to do a "Cleanup" before saying goodnight to your phone and see if it helps.

just got this phone today and here are my findings:
pro: super fast finger print, nice build material, fluid overall.
problems: options on settings menu sometimes cannot toggle back like bluetooth so you will be using the swipe down menu. NFC and bluetooth did not worked with my Nexus 5 and its weird since it can work with other Huawei device like the P10. I don't know why. Slow to read usb otg. EMUI is quite clunky to my taste and needs trimming down it is hard to navigate inside the settings all around. maybe Im just used to stock android experience.

Just a quick question, I find that my mate 9 drains at 10 % of battery during night even I closed all apps and wifi , 4G ... I used plane mode. Is this is normal or its draining the battery life? Thanks all

I really appreciate the Huawei all phones. It is very quality and will not be damaged easily. even it fall down, it will work as like before without any interruption. I really like HUAWEI. WOW.

Back camera v... moreThe issue was not after updates. It's from the day one When I bought this. There is no issue when I am taking picture or making vedio. The issue is only vedio call with any apps. The other side vedio is not coming clear to me. Same like scratches the vedio.
I seriously need help for this issue.
