Bought this the other day, and just wow, i had a Samsung Note 4, then Note 5 and this i must say is in a different class, the build quality is second to none, the speed is the best ive seen on any device, when i tested the Samsung S8+ this even glitched a little, but the Mate 9 is a powerstation, the battery is unreal, ive had this 2 days and have not yet plugged in the charger and still have 40% battery left, the best phone i have had and played with to date, the only fault with the current firmware is the Barclays Mobile Banking app does not work, but there is news that an update to 7.1.1 is due and this will fix this issue.

@Chemistt: Maybe it's a "dead on arrival" (DOA) device. If you experience issues within 3 days, they just verify and give you a new one. My Samsung tablet also had some heavy issues and it was in the same price range.
Other stuff, check if you have enough 4G coverage. By default modern phones go on 4G, but coverage/reception is utter rubbish no matter where I tried, so I just always switch my devices to 2G/3G.

Guys. I recently got the Mate 9 but it keeps dropping my local voice calls. Its annoying because I can barely reach 1 minute. Any solutions. I need help. Its frustrating!!

Yashu, 13 Apr 2017I bought this phone because of its long lasting battery cap... moreI've been using mate 9 for 4 months and I don't have any problem with it..I'm a heavy user but it still last for a day or two & doesn't heat much. It stays cool all the time even on gaming. So I think you may want to send it back to the supplier.

It's a good set but a little bit too expensive at around Rs 44k. It should be around 30k like One plus 3T to be successful in India today

Hey mate! I too had the same issue after the B172 update. I was about to give it up. But luckily , I was able to figure out the culprit that was hogging on my battery. It was the twin app function for Whatsapp (& Fb) !!! I was using two whatsapp accounts (Technically the phone functions as two phones, hence the battery drain) and now that i have disabled the second one, the battery seems to hold up well as before. I have ditched the skins in the market and sticked on to the default ones. Now Getting almost 6-8 hours of SOT since then.Just give it a try to see if there is any change. Cheers!

Wan, 29 Apr 2017I'm also face the same prob. Any solutionhi, you can try to ask for a replacement from Huawei nearby your area. In Malaysia, Huawei would let anyone to replace a new one as long as you can prove the device you using is of defected ( not man-made ). My friend has replaced his Mate 9 for a second time in a month.

Any solution?Sorry no solutions yet since i have a backup phone which is Mi Max,so i guess i will have to stick to this Mi Max temporarily until i have some slack time to go to service centre and ask for replacement again which i can't do it right now, kind of busy recently.
