Hey mate! I too had the same issue after the B172 update. I was about to give it up. But luckily , I was able to figure out the culprit that was hogging on my battery. It was the twin app function for Whatsapp (& Fb) !!! I was using two whatsapp accounts (Technically the phone functions as two phones, hence the battery drain) and now that i have disabled the second one, the battery seems to hold up well as before. I have ditched the skins in the market and sticked on to the default ones. Now Getting almost 6-8 hours of SOT since then.Just give it a try to see if there is any change. Cheers!

Wan, 29 Apr 2017I'm also face the same prob. Any solutionhi, you can try to ask for a replacement from Huawei nearby your area. In Malaysia, Huawei would let anyone to replace a new one as long as you can prove the device you using is of defected ( not man-made ). My friend has replaced his Mate 9 for a second time in a month.

Any solution?Sorry no solutions yet since i have a backup phone which is Mi Max,so i guess i will have to stick to this Mi Max temporarily until i have some slack time to go to service centre and ask for replacement again which i can't do it right now, kind of busy recently.

After updating my note 5 to to android 7.0, typical common issues started : Key stroke delay (especially when typing within web browser) which makes very difficult to write anything, Samsung keyboard spelling auto corection got messed up (corrects the most normal properly typed words into a different word ).
DO NOT UPDATE YOUR ANDROID TO A HIGHER VERSION, EVER!

I am a mobile phone addict, havd used many different phablets/ phones. Huawei have delivered an exceptional device with a beautiful sharp display / user friendly settings and the battery life is excellent. Absolute beast. Love it. Huawei for me.

170-175 min. The average obviously would be 340-350 min. Also never ever upgrade your Android operating system or even IOS, because almost all the time you will exexperience battery draining issues after update.

Robman, 20 Apr 2017I see a lot of comments commending the device's great batte... moreI don't know about battery life in Europe but in USA (with our networks at least ) Average Anroid and IOS web browsing time while connected to 4G LTE is around 150 min of constant web page clicking and loading until the battery goes from 100% charged to 0%.
Now since during the average web browsing we click a new page twice less than constantly, we would get an average of 300 min of web browsing. Since this Huawei has 4000 mag battery instead of 3000 mAh, the web browsing time on this phone is about 170-175 (versus average of 150min)

Evening, I need help please! My phone was in my handbag and when I took it out, it asked for a pin. I enter my pin but there is absolutely no ok button to accept it. Only energency calls on the left and delete on the right. PLEASE HELP

My battery "drains" fast when I'm not using WiFi, that's because this house has always been one for terrible reception. 4G is also pretty bad in my area.

Awesome device. I can actually say an AMOLED panel isn't as important in this device. Great job Huawei ; just don't make Samsung's mistakes. Be better Huawei!

I am facing battery draining issues too like some users experiencing it, i have taken it to service centre and the first time they told me its hardware issue so they replaced a new one for me and the second time they told me its B138 software issues but after he helped me updated to B172, its the same anyway drains 12% in one hour while in idle mode. I closed all apps and only allowed Gmail Whatapps running on my background. I'm literally done with this phone. Those planning to buy this , good luck.

weeebooo, 24 Apr 2017the reviews are quiet good, why not have it then?Been using it for 6 weeks . This phone is awesome . Good display and EXCELLENT X 3 battery stamina while watching video,movies on this Mate9. Just a mere 5 percent drop watching a movie and YouTube continuously for 3 hrs. Worthy flagship phone from Huawei
