Mine is about 7 hours, but that's mostly due to bad reception in my area. :) My usual battery life on a single charge is more than 2 days, often over 3 days. 4 days has been my highest record so far, so battery life is good for me.

I see a lot of comments commending the device's great battery. But for me it's been quite a different story all together. My battery barely lasts a day on a full charge. I have had this phone for a week now. I really don't know whether l got an inferior device or it was just a stroke of bad lucky on my side. I really don't know. Any suggestions?

When it goes below 20% cpu&gpy performance gets a bit limited so it doesn't consume as much battery, but it's a great battery in all aspects. Its selfie camera is good in daylight, and average in low light from my experience. Though it has autofocus, and its resolution is great to see. :) It's a real flagship in everything, and you gotta see its 2-3x zoom pics to believe it. If you got the money it's a great phone to have!

beamsbest, 16 Apr 2017same to me. this device alwys heat up even not in use...My unit still doesn't get even hot, not even while charging or playing games. You guys have bad units. Whatever I do with my Mate 9, it remains warm at it's worst, NEVER gets hot. This is how it's supposed to work.

My mate 9 just stopped working yesterday out if nowhere. Only have it 2 weeks. Now it is completely dead and won't charge or anything. I bought it while I was in Hong Kong so I cannot really return it to the shop. Not impressed.

Device heats up ..and battery dr... moreBrother those who have battery drain issue must close whatsapp or any other app(mostly its whatsapp) from settings-battery-power intensive apps after every use.whatsapp consumes all your battery and after closing it you should see a drastic performance of battery.

I bought this phone because of its long lasting battery capacity but now i feel like i wasted my money on it because it hardly stand for 5 hours if i use the internet and i also have heating problem while surfing net...what should I do please suggest me guys..i am so worried 😐

Except for the camera, Mate 8 is better, in term of Sync, battery life , and most importantly, you can use data while on call...

Mine does never get uncomfortably warm, not even if I play heavy games for long. It's only under the sun that it could do so, but never too hot to touch, even when I have a case on :)

Vanphantom, 11 Apr 2017Good day everybody, I am facing over heating problem with m... moreHi.. mate ;) Usually every device when you boot it up for the 1st time does so, cuz literally everything is running, trying to update, and in addition to this, you the user add even more stuff on it, download apps, login to them etc, so it's running ~full speed to perform every task. I always reboot my new devices after doing the important things and restoring. Sometimes more than once. I also force-stop needless running apps, cuz when it's brand new all of them are running.
