However, about a week ago the phone did a new update (automatically) and the touch is really satisfying. Enable automatic update if you haven't already.

Sometimes you tap several times on an icon before something happens. My former Mate 7 with Android 6 and EMUI 4 seems to be faster and more sensitive on the touch.

Jerin, 16 Jan 2017Mate you got a defective mate :P Get it checked with HuaweiWhat do you mean defective?! The phone was sealed and unboxed, and came with 12 month warranty.
I have my concerns about sending my 4 weeks old Huawei to maintenance in the official sponsors here. But I will if I have to.

I tested this phone. Nearly a perfect phone
but with few critical drawbacks for $600 phone:
                      PROS:
                      ~ Fantastic LCD display
~ Superb processor (web pages load slightly faster than on Note 5)

                      CONS:
~Touch interface not as mouth as on high end Samsung phones (because of that, over all experience feels slower)
~Same Android issues with Keyboard. Typing is a bit difficult because of bad touch and sometimes a keyboard is acting up badly.
I'm not saying that Samsung phones are prefect but it seems like only Samsung (maybe LG as well) has solved a problem with Android Touch interface issues that cause very difficult typing.

Mac, 12 Dec 2016Hi all. just bought a Huawei Mate 9 which is from China. I ... moreThats because the Mate 9 from China only uses China Rom or China Software. It wont have google play services and will have issues with google apps as the software doesnt allow or support it. My advice is try returning it to the seller and get your money back and buy the Global or International version

It’s a big, all-metal phone, with a very large piece of Gorilla Glass over the display, so the extra weight isn’t a shock. This whopping size doesn’t apply to the fingerprint sensor, which is below the camera lens on the rear. It’s actually quite small and is completely obscured by my fingertip. It’s no bad thing, and the accuracy can’t be faulted.
