It's a good choice. We have not Google play, but we have appgellary from Huawei. It's enough for me.
I have WPS and Opera browsers, at browsers we can go to Google, to Facebook, to Instagram and others.
It's fast and the battery is very good.

Download brave browser from petal search. Open brave browser, in the settings turn on desktop mode. Now go to meet.google.com and you now can access it. BTW I am using this in my schooling.

i thought buying it will help my kids in their online class and its affordable, but google meet,or google classroom wont work here! im very disappointed! i just bought 2 matepad t8 for my kids' online class. can you give me any recommendation on how or what will i do?

don't buy ! despite of no google service the LCD got green easily without doing anything. it now has 2 circles of green. I'm very careful on my tablet then it got greened that easily. Poor quality!

Not buy this tablet, comes with 32 BIT OS (AOSP of 32 bit)....come on !!! we are in 2020 !!!

What would be the best choice for book reading,net browsing,video streaming and netflixing type basic use between galaxy tab 8 (2019) and huawei matepad t8???I am not a gamer but stay long time on display,so can anyone suggest me and help me to choose one plz???

look for APKpure app.
so you can download things like Netflix... etc
THE HUAWEI ONLINE HELP IS ALSO VERY HELPFUL !!!!

Currently this tablet can be purchased by pre-order in Indonesia for US$100 (Wifi only). Lazada malaysia sells the LTE version for US$117, so frustating.

i got one and it's a really good tablet for the price, mine cost around 120$ and can handle several games (cod mobile included), zoom works well even with the front camera that is kinda bad, battery life is great with around day and half between charges with moderate/heavy use, as for the lack of google services i havent find a single issue with it, of course i went to youtube and check for tutorials to install g-play store and after 10 minutes and a few apps everything is working really well, app gallery is great to but missing a few apps for the moment

Great tablet for kids. Doesnt cost to much but it has everything it needs.Definitely recommend this.
