After the 2nd battery gave out it is so distorted I can't even replace it again, or even get the data off it for a replacement.
And despite its age, it's barely been used, as I can only get a signal if I lean out of an upstairs window with someone holding my legs, which is a bit dangerous as I can only walk limited distances with crutches and am housebound.
It was bought so that I would have a means of calling for help if I went out on my mobility scooter, but I can no longer safely use that.

Still using it in 2023, and it works very well, the phone is very fast. The fingerprint reader is superb and the autonomy is fabulous.

I have this P20 Pro since 2018 in Canada for $800. Been using it as a primary phone for the first couple years. I still use it now as secondary phone for work. And it's still nearly perfect. I haven't change the battery, it still has 84% capacity of the original 4000mah battery. I will replace it when the capacity drop below 80%. I have the original replacement battery bought already. Really love the physical fingerprint print sensor at the front. Fast and accurate. Nowadays you can't buy new phones with fingerprint at the front anymore. Knock on screen to screenshot. Good cameras. Video record i can complain about. Whenever there's low light it keeps adjusting to the brightness of it when recording. My phone has the glass screen protector on top of original plastic protector. Carbon fiber skin on glass back cover. I can download anything on Google play store. Good stereo speakers. Still fast and smooth. I would keep it until i find something as good as this. Now my primary phone is pixel7. Exact same size as p20pro but a bigger screen.

You think this phone can still wait for security patches, has anyone heard anything? I started thinking about replacing the phone, to be honest, it has served me well since September 2018, but I feel that it is already getting old, both technologically and software. But during all these years there have been no serious problems.

This smartphone is the best, I have changed the battery 2 years ago, now I have it for almost 5 years and still works perfectly, my phone never crashed in this time, it is normal that the new smartphones are better and faster but still I recommend this phone to everybody. The calls sound it is perfect and very clear.

I wasn't planning on replacing it anytime soon, but today the fingerprint sensor died... But it was a great phone, and well worth the money.
