John , 28 Sep 2022Big mistake you going to have problem now with you phone Correct. Month or two ago allow to update on 12.0 but I made mistake. Some new features isn't worth because phone become little bit slower, that's so obvious. BTW I bought phone in 06/2019 and still doing fine his job. Battery is still good but slowly lose battle with new phone upgrades.

      Still no EMUI 12 for this phone in Croatia. Well, EMUI 12 is still just Android 10 but there are some cool new features I want.

Don'... moreSad to say .. but my Huawei P30 Lite (model MAR-LX2) cannot be upgraded beyond OS equivalent Android 10 (EMUI 10.0). Even the OS Security level for Huawei P30 Lite ... does not go beyond May 2021. Google Playstore does not allow new apps to be viewed / installed on Huawei P30 Lite (MAR-LX2).

              I dont play games on phones just for daily use.
              I need an great battery life and stability software and good camera.

                I've had the P30 Lite for nearly 3 years now. Don't know if it's on the EMUI 12 or still 11 (it's in the shop having the screen re-bonded). I love this phone. It's reliable, quick to do everything I need and the 128gb storage is more than enough for my massive music collection. I do take pictures but haven't yet tried anything too fancy (I keep saying I will try to take more artistic shots). I'm hoping this phone will last me another 3 years as I don't really want to swap it for anything else. Work have given me a Samsung A21s (I hate it), so I'll keep my P30 Lite as long as I can.

                  got emui 12 update and i never thought kirin 710 can be this fast. i use the phone for casual gaming and it's way smoother & faster with emui 12.
                  the cons maybe it's easier to get warm when playing games, i guess that's the price for way higher performance

                    New latest software update is EMUI 12 and also Google Play Store it's still.....
                    My apps is a gaming better!!!!!

                      P30 Lite 128GB / 6RAM
                      Since late 2019 have it
                      Updated last month to huwaei's 12 version software
                      It's still has Google Services everything works fine.
                      One of greatest phones I had.
                      Unfortunately the new ones do not have Google Services.
                      Huwaei made one of the best phones still can keep up with new models.
                      No need to change my phone

                          Asd, 23 Sep 2022Lol I'm used to not have GMS, anyways there will alway... moreyes i know your huawei can still survive without google but most games and apps rely on google services to make it work, petal search are hit or miss. in terms of accuracy of search results. it just works like google search engine.

If your talking about games and banking apps they are already working on it. I loved how my Huawei survive almost 2 days of life

                                  Just had my p30 for a short time now and find it to be very good. To save on ware on the charging port I was hoping to charge it wirelessly but am not sure if it supports this. Maybe somebody more in the know could advise me on this.

                                      I had no problems until the EMUI12 update, since then nothing on the phone works apart from Spotify and Facebook/meta-messenger. I can't load videoes, or stream on any streamingplatforms. My alarmclock freezes instead of going off. Most apps are now unable to make any sounds on the phone and either freezes or crashes instead when I try to activate sounds. The phone was decent before the update, now it is impossible to use. It is so bad, I would rather use a phone from the early 00s. But the battery still seems to function well even after 2,5 years of use.

                                        I was one of the first people in SA to get the Huawei P30 lite New Edition and many said there wasn't much difference between the old and new versions. I can't really comment as to that but if that is indeed the case then Huawei made a stunning device that has now gone through it's warranty period. I've received my upgrade which honestly is nice but I still love my P30 lite it's still my primary handset. Great value for money. And very much in demand in our country even today.
