overhyped phone.. low resolution, no 3,5mm jack... lol what is the pro modes of this phone?

      AimeDuSable, 08 Apr 2019Objectively speaking, for such an expensive device, I belie... moreif you can read my comment i said, "i can live with it", i dont really care. so long as its not pixelated for my viewing, i dont mind. there only three things i consider when i choosing a phone : camera, battery and unique capability. if you dont agree, i also dont care. its your choice tbh and this is a free world. why you objectify tho? not all really care. im on mate 2p pro and i always set my resolution to 1080p. its good enough for me and i believe for some as well. so long as its not agreed by everyone its not an objective truth. since we cant confirm the objectivity, we only use "reasonably". so definitely, 4k, 2k display is reasonable for a flagship at this price range. im an auditor, lawyer and tech savy at the same time, i know these things in healthy debates.

It is basically a 2K resolution while in comparison Sony Xperia 1 got a 4K resolution. Not to forget that P30 Pro is most likely using PenTile matrix, so you even get less subpixels than usual. Not good enough...

              Nice phone for sure, but I'm surprised it only have space for 256 extra memory like the vanilla version, but the light version can handle a 512 card... Strange one :-O

Why should I buy a phone wi... morelol. lower picture quality? joke of the day. they are both excellent snappers. just because the other one doesn suit you, doesnt mean its picture are low quality right? other ppl might like it just sayin, the TIPA did like the results, they awarded P30 Pro as best photo smartphone for 2019. too early if you ask me since the note 10, mate30 and pixel 4 are still coming this year but still the p30 pro does take excellent photos.

                        Even after one or two years heavy usage, HUAWEI / HONOR phones still can stay fast and smooth.

                        That's the different between HUAWEI and SAMSUNG.

                          guys..i own the p30 pro and my friend has mate 20 pro..i can tell you now p30 pro is an insanely better phone......no regrets..nothin

                            Anybody can help with this:

                            - is the speakers are stereo speakers? cause it under the display glass.
                            - is the front and back glass is gorilla 6 like S10+ or it just gorilla 5?

                              This studio cannot compare everything.
                              Still a basic A/B comp shows the p30 pro is great in low light not for everything.
                              The p30pro is a great phone but not good enough IMO to justify an upgrade for me

As far as i know, Mate 10 series tends to oversharpen pics a lot, because very small sensor used (1/2.9 inch), to enhance details.

                                  Might be 'more details' that u saw is actually 'oversharpen'. That studio sample also cant compare dynamic range, exposure level, contrast, white balance, color reproduction, foliage, low light performance on outdoor scene, indoor scene as its just using lab objects as sample, which as in real life, all that aspects superior on P30.

                                        I have a Mate 10 Pro.
                                        I went through the photo comp of gsmarena to compare the Mate 10 pro to the P30 Pro.

                                        What I found out is that under good lighting the Mate 10 pro is way better than the P 30 Pro.
                                        The opposit is true in low lighting.

                                        The images appear more blury on the P30 pro ...

                                        I was considering updating ... WAS ... not anymore
