Sony is marketing 3840x1644 as the worlds first 4K OLED in a smartphone. Thats because 3840 is approximately 4000 pixels.

because 3120 (3120x1440) is approximately 3000 pixels, by definition, it is 3K.

Whereas 2340 x 1080 is 2K

    its not 3k since the naming convention we are used to like 1080p or 1440p refers to the horizontal lines.

              In a simpe opinion, Mate series is supposed to be the flagship of Huawei. P series is just below the Mate series. We must wait for Mate 30 Pro which is surely winning over P30 Pro.

In my opinion the... moreman i just asked why did you objectify? aint saying your what saying is wrong lol, its as good as it can get. usually ppl who objectify in comments have some valid proof and sources to add. just asking coz maybe you have some studies, articles and papers that you wanna share? so can read those too. if none, then thats hardly objectifying/generalizing isnt it? and so its just an opinion. i was confused actually if youre stating facts or stating opinion because of the word "objectively". should have just said "subjectively speakin" right? just to be clear here, i aint a huawei fanboy, in fact im sammy's fan ever since and just starting to discover this huawei bandwagon.

                        In my opinion there is absolutely no reason to go from a 3K resolution device like the Mate 20 Pro to a 2K resolution device that the P30 Pro is.
                        Not to mention that the 2 devices are pretty similar and some people are probably rightly so saying the Mate 20 Pro is better

                              AimeDuSable, 08 Apr 2019Objectively speaking, for such an expensive device, I belie... moreif you can read my comment i said, "i can live with it", i dont really care. so long as its not pixelated for my viewing, i dont mind. there only three things i consider when i choosing a phone : camera, battery and unique capability. if you dont agree, i also dont care. its your choice tbh and this is a free world. why you objectify tho? not all really care. im on mate 2p pro and i always set my resolution to 1080p. its good enough for me and i believe for some as well. so long as its not agreed by everyone its not an objective truth. since we cant confirm the objectivity, we only use "reasonably". so definitely, 4k, 2k display is reasonable for a flagship at this price range. im an auditor, lawyer and tech savy at the same time, i know these things in healthy debates.

It is basically a 2K resolution while in comparison Sony Xperia 1 got a 4K resolution. Not to forget that P30 Pro is most likely using PenTile matrix, so you even get less subpixels than usual. Not good enough...

                                      Nice phone for sure, but I'm surprised it only have space for 256 extra memory like the vanilla version, but the light version can handle a 512 card... Strange one :-O
