Finally bought it yesterday for 560E (blue, 8\128), it was on my mind since the beginning of the year, going to upgrade from the Mi A1, but I kept waiting and waiting and hoping that this year will bring some phones that have good\great price\performance value. Well, with half of the year gone, I made the decision to buy last years flagship, the P30Pro, hopefully it will also get Android 11. The camera dept was the first thing that interested me (not at all 5G that the manufacturers keep insisting on in 2020 even if the infrastructure is not there yet), and I refuse to pay 1000E for the overpriced\overrated Mi10pro or OP8Pro, so yeah, when putting into perspective the ~600E price (my budget) and the 2020 phones that this money could buy, I think that the choice was obvious.

my dad has this smartphone 4 about a year now
n the in display finger print scanner s really good
his skin is not smooth n yet it can still read them
i ve been using playing the camera zoom n like it

waterfall, 01 May 2020Im an extremely complicated person when it comes to product... moreSo true, I'm also using the P30 pro & it's one of the best smartphones I've used in years especially the battery life & camera quality is excellent along with 256 GB of internal storage so you don't really miss the absence of an SD card. I'll stick to it for many more years.

I literally went for the P30 Pro instead (even though it's one year old) and I don't regret that purchase. This phone could've been released today and I wouldn't complain! For photo's it's still one of the best camera phones out there (learn how to deal with ISO settings and HDR will be no problem) and for videos it's also good enough imo. Why pay 1000€ for a better camera now? The phone is one year old. If you want actual extreme improvements wait AT LEAST for 2021. But imo buying a new phone every year is too much.
Your phone is great, keep it. And that comes from a Xiaomi fan - I have seen many phones and the P30 Pro is a beast.

Of course the P30 pro can only be upgraded to 10.1 Android Version only not as iPhones or Google phones which can run currents upgrades to all there phones models despite the years of manufacturing. So to me the P30 series is still good. All the Androids phones are limited in terms of latest upgrades even the Samsung phones.
My advise is, since you are in love with the P30 pro, you can go for it, but go with the one with a more RAM and ROM ok. Kudos

As far as I am concerned it was released before ban, so it should be one of the last huawei's phones with google apps. Did I mix something or did not get right? Is not google services pre-installed in this device?

Guys, I am still in need of a new phone and can not make the final decision - Huawei Mate 20 Pro or P30 Pro? They are so similar and for me camera, battery life, design (especially screen and it is protection) are very important. Please, any advises, which one in your opinion is better to get. I have an option for buying p40 for... moreThe differences are there as three of those phones have there own limitations. Based on my own experience, I prefer that P30 pro for some specific reasons.
Regarding the Samsung S20, its well furnished and build in terms of design and structure and the camera is almost the best, but the battery is always the problem
Regarding the P40 series, somehow is similar build up structure with Samsung S20, but its battery long life is better than S20. The camera is also superb but the problem here with the P40 series, is that they do not have google play store and with the HMS built in them, though it came with 5G networking, but there are still a lots of missing applications you can find in Google play stores which is not in Hauwei Mobile Services or Hauwei Gallery App.
So it's still difficult to make a choice among the three Phones, though, the s20 and p40's still not 100% best.
