Phone just working better without google services. Google services take too much RAM memory and battery. On my S8 Samsung, I just removed google services, it working better then Samsung note 10. We can have normal life without google.

I gotta admit.... I was sceptical at first getting this phone at first, always been a fan of huawei but thought I can live without Google services. And boy was I wrong! This phone is just amazing!!! Fast and snappy plus the camera quality is just wow!!! Fear not about Google services there are work arounds like bluemail for Gmail which is basically the only app that I was concerned about!
I would definitely recommend this device any day!! Loving it!

I curse the day I bought my P40 lite. I dnt love it at all. For the first time in my life hating my own phone. It is baddd and most used apps are not supported nor available. Is like I bought this phone for calls and whatsapp only. I hate it I hate it I hate it!!!!! Pity I can not do anything abought it I bought it I bought it. Pissedd

I really like this phone.
Apart from having no gyroscope or eis/ois via the camera, I've been heavily impressed by the kirin 810.
When i run antutu via performance mode, I'm hitting just over 320000. This is very very impressive for a year old mid range chip - it is competing directly with the snapdragon 765g via this score.
The phone is exceptionally well optimized with the Kirin 810.
Thoroughly impressed.

I dont recommend this at all. There are multiple apps that ca not be accessed because not supported by google playstore. This phone doesn't support Goodle Playstore at all. I understand if they are trying to promote their own playstore. But it just so hard to use. Yes they have apkcure to download other apps in google but once you installed it it wont function still without google. So like many banking app in UAE can not function on this phone. So frustrating. not user friendly. Unless otherwise u are the kind of person who only wants camera fb or instagram other wellknown social platform are okay. But not all.

I bought the phone a few days ago, a few impressions:
-i ordered green but it looks that in some markets (i'm in central Europe) the green is not lively like in the pictures but a very dark emerald one. Still nice and worth a clear case but too understated.
-no GMS is no bother. Huawei's browser and mail client are just a good as Google's, phone clone does the rest incl. Maps. I. Use Youtube vanced.
-your old microSim mem card won't work, you have to buy a Huawei's own nanocard.
-screen is bright and detailed but has very much contrast so i use permanent eye comfort function on minimal level.
-camera has natural color, outstanding dynamics, powerfull night mode, sharp pics. The only conditions it doesn't cope well are complex nature shots in twilight where it messes up the focus in some areas.
Video should have eis! I should check for an app for that.
-otherwise the phone is very fast, keyboard precise, it fits the hand nicely, power button finger sensor is error-less.
I payed 185€ in contract, fair price.

If you know what you are doing and have some experience, you can use it perfectly without GMS, but if a person is accustomed to a phone with GMS, please don't buy them this phone. The lack of GMS also affects notifications (you won't receive most) and app compatibility. This can be sort of fixed if you have the right knowledge. If your parents regularly use any Google service, don't buy this. If they aren't attached to any Google service, and assuming you can install stuff like MicroG before giving them the phone (to fix notifications), this is a awesome phone for the price.
