If you know what you are doing and have some experience, you can use it perfectly without GMS, but if a person is accustomed to a phone with GMS, please don't buy them this phone. The lack of GMS also affects notifications (you won't receive most) and app compatibility. This can be sort of fixed if you have the right knowledge. If your parents regularly use any Google service, don't buy this. If they aren't attached to any Google service, and assuming you can install stuff like MicroG before giving them the phone (to fix notifications), this is a awesome phone for the price.

The P40 Lite is called Nova 7i in some regions, so it's exactly the same phone.

Annonimous1, 16 Aug 2020What phone is better P40lite or Samsung galaxy A71? I would say that A71 is a little bit better. But u have to consider that it costs like 200 euros more than P40 lite. Im using P40 Lite and i didnt have any problems while using apps everything is working fine. If u want to save good amount of money and have a good phone then P40 lite is better overall.

Veex, 27 Aug 2020Hi guys Samsung A31 or P40 LITE? I'm stuck between the two I would go for P40 Lite since the price is so good. The speccs that he has are comparabile to A71. His price would be much higher if they had google services, but its not a problem. Im using P40 Lite and everything is the same, used phone clone to transfer everything and its working great.

Does anyone know if you get directional audio with heaphones on this device? My current Psmart doesn't have this feature and it sucks that i can't hear footsteps when playing games.

Veex, 27 Aug 2020Hi guys Samsung A31 or P40 LITE? I'm stuck between the two I will recommend Huawei p40 lite.. not because I love the phone but because Samsung do overprice their products.. imagine this a31 with Helio p65 and scored around 160000 on antutu 8 being priced around $220.. what a waste of cash! Who cares about AMOLED screen when my device is ugly in performance..
Big advice, close tabs on Samsung a31 and opt for Huawei p40 lite..
