[deleted post]Hahaha, you're mocking me for something that's not even my fault, I have no idea why apostrophes, dashes, etc. in that comment are looking weird and/or missing. Not that it's important. If that's all you can come up with, then I think we should just stop talking to each other, otherwise we could do this all year long and there's no point in that. I have my opinion and you have yours, end of story.

      Tsabes, 21 Mar 2020You're right, 1080p is replaced by 4K and that will be repl... morefor example, on PC it's rare for me to watch videos in full screen, bcoz i sit quite close to the monitor - like everyone else i guess, so i always resize the player to about 25%, it just happens that the monitor is a 4K one and many videos are at 1080p, in fact all the good movies, which some are not even in HD, can't be watched in full screen anyway;
      that being said, a 4K TV is ok, an OLED 4K TV is at a different level, since the black is almost a true black, pretty much any OLED is awesome; PC monitors in OLED tech cost....4000eur? as opposed to LED for like 300Eur; well there you have it :)

My point is that I don't need that high resolution to enjoy a movie or whatever I watch. I have a 50" 1080p tv and yet, I still download the movies and tv shows I watch in xvid format (and sometimes in 720p) and still enjoy watching them. I rarely download anything in 1080p (my phone is also set to record videos in "only" 1080p). But some people (not you) just can't process that not everyone is crazy about watching stuff in 4K. :)

          joe nodden, 20 Mar 2020No you didn't make yourself clear with that messed up reply. It wasn't messed up, it was probably just too much for you to understand. Here's the short version, this maybe you'll get: you care about 4K, I don't. Deal with it.

            I mean the phone is amazing, even without google or the 4k video recording, and I got it for 230 euros in Portugal, so...

                Tsabes, 20 Mar 2020„Anything less than 4k looks bad” – so you say. But just be... moreit's the pixel size that determines what is better, almost all of the phones these days has a resolution that goes beyond 1080p, thus 1080p content will not look great on those devices;
                4K screens are damm cheap these days, most of the ppl have at least one 4K screen and 4K TV; 4K is standard now, once you get used to it there is no way back;

                however the case, its pointless to have a phone with 4K display that records a crappy 4K video, it is better to be able to record 4K and playback it on a smaller display = video looks better; +the more pixels a display has, the more power will it draw, most efficient phones will keep small resolution displays, if you want a phone with 4K display be prepared that the screen on time will make the battery bleed, even a 6000mAh batter won't be good enough

                but 4K days are counted, 8K will eventually make it's way to our living room and office

But just because that’s your opinion, it doesn’t mean it’s true, or that everyone else thinks the same. Here’s the thing about 1080p: a decade ago people were amazed how sharp and beautiful the picture was. Then, years later, 4K comes out and suddenly 1080p looks bad? You see the problem there? No, 1080p still looks nice, people just keep falling victim to the marketing machine and want to buy the latest and greatest. They even make themselves believe that 1080p now looks terrible. Look, I’m not saying that 4K is bad, I’m saying that not everyone is keen to watch movies or whatever in 4K, for some of us 1080p is more than enough. It’s like not everyone wants a high end phone, some people are totally happy with an entry level or midrange phone. This may be a shock to you but I still watch movies in 720p or – get this – in bdrip format. And I’m totally happy with it. If you’re into 4K, don’t let me stop you.
                  Ok, I think I made myself clear, I really have nothing to add. Bye!

                    A waw! This phone it's useless.... For an upgrade lol full HD? Recording no 5g.. Maybe it will cost 150 bucks.

Just because I don't care about 4K (or higher) video recording it doesn't mean I'm stuck at iPhone 3GS level. For the record, I always use high end phones. Show some respect to opinions different from yours and accept that not everyone is excited about 4K recording. Simple as that.

                          Great Specs but with our situation Covid19 I would twice before I get this unit.

                                      I will agree that from everything Huawei has released so far, this caught my eye. The Sakura pink looks cool and the design is very clean.

                                      If only Huawei wasnt under the grip of the CCP..... Oh well, for those who get this device, do enjoy it!

                                        Not having EIS at this price range is an instant deal breaker (let alone the lack of Google services). What the hell were they thinking?
