Hey guys, I can confirm 100% that image quality in the common has decreased by newer updates. It might be cuz Huawei is using wrong algorithms in our P40 Pro (maybe focusing now more on Mate 40 Pro camera?). I installed 10.1.0.134 from may of 2020 with may patches and image quality is top notch in that firmware version when comparing newest updates. I downgraded EMUI 11 to EMUI 10 first with Hisuite11 and downgraded one more time with Hisuite 10 from newest EMUI 10 to older one 10.1.0.134. I followed carefully steps on youtube how to do that on GSM Fix channel How to downgrade P40 Pro firmware. Please be careful when downgrade fw stuff as you can brick your phone. I have experienced that so follow all the steps well. :)

RIP to my P40 Pro. I bricked it by flashing the wrong firmware. Rest in peace.

Great phone. Only downsides:
Curved screen
Big front camera cutout
On screen fingerprint reader might give issues, I recorded the same finger twice and now it works perfectly.
If you want GMS on your device then download the DUALSPACE APP. Type it into Google, the latest one is on apkpure. This gives your device GMS WITHOUT SETTING THIRD PARTY ADMINS on your device so there is no security risk. You also get notifications and you can log into the device with your Google account.

This phone isn't worth all this trouble especially if you have things that rely on Google. Total waste of money ...

6.23 x 2.86 dimension is so small. For a premium phone at this price, they should make the display bigger. Just to save battery life they make a small display for it

I am so glad to see that my phone is not the only one doing this. I've sent an email to the customer support center and before sending the mail, I made a video comparasion with a cheap Poco X3 NFC and guess what ? The videos on Poco are 100 times better and the camera is smaller in eveyr aspect. Do you know what the customer support center said ? That it's normal for phone to differen in quality and that they can't find nothing wrong with the quality and that was it ... I am super disappointed and P40 Pro will be my last phone from Huawei. Their customer support is zero !

same for me, videos indoors when light is poor are terrible with a lot of noise ans low details!

Something happened here. Compared to my old Xiaomi Mi 8. Absolutely terrible pile of s...t. Noisy and unacceptable for me.
Photos are ok.
