No needed to upgrade the software. It is still beter then midlle-range phones. A52s is good phone, but it can not be good comapring to P40 pro, no way. Camera, chepset is still better even it si 3 years old.

I have the lite 5G version of this phone, most if not all applications work fine without Google play services. You can download YouTube revanced instead of the normal YouTube for example, and use 3rd party app stores like apkpure to get apps that aren't in the appgallery. The apps that didn't work without it I just used Gspace and then they did. I was reluctant to get a P40 because of no Google services but everything I've needed works completely fine.

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2023Is worth to change my A52s for P40 Pro...Bcs i dont like on... moreI used the nova 5t and now i own the A52s, it feels chopier and more laggy even though it has an 120hz display, it seems that one ui is just too heavy for a sd778g. I would recommend the honor 70 or nova 9 as a more affordable option (tried both of them at store).
Non huawei/honor options are the pixel 6a or wait for the pixel 7a and A54.
Personally I would avoid the p40 pro. 3 years old with no softwear updates and locked bootloader make it basically a dead device.

Samsung A52s is midle ange phone, the P40 pro is 3 years old but it is still flagship. My sister have P40pro, yes it is worthed, trust me. Better chepset, better camera, you will see.

Now that you can download g-space easily with no tech knowledge needed which gets you all your apps from Google play this phone is a bargain at a quarter of its original prices online.... Fantastic battery life amazing camera.... I have purchased this a second time ( got rid of it first time because couldn't get anything on it as g-space wasn't around then) and it takes better photos than the Motorola Edge 30 ultra I have just sold which takes poorer pictures than it's 200mp lens suggests
