Huawei P40 series get new AI 50MP camera mode via update
Huawei is rolling out a firmware update, based on EMUI 10.1.0.122, to the P40, P40 Pro and likely P40 Pro+ in China, which brings a new AI 50MP camera mode.
The new mode shoots multiple images over three seconds and then stacks them together for a resulting full resolution 50MP image. It aims to bring the best of both worlds, matching the resolution of a regular Bayer sensor with the Quad-Bayer imager inside the P40.
Here's a test shot of the 50MP AI mode in action.
There's no word when P40 series devices outside China will get the new firmware, nor if it will make its way to the Honor 30 Pro+.

Yea well no, Samsung wins against the a lot cheaper p40 pro. Once p40 pro+ is fully released, it will rival Samsung in zoom as well. And ah yeah, in daytime they are both incredible, its up to personal preference.
