My P9 was stuck on marshmallow. Brand new out of the box.
International model.
EMUI is just terrible. I liked it at first because it was different then grew to hate it. Lock screen notifications are difficult to setup from app to app. Used my favorite music app shuttle Plus
No lockscreen controls whatsoever. Extremely dim LED notification light. This phone is nice to look at, that's about it. Very disappointed

Onakbikupuak, 23 Aug 2018I dont think that "leica" is using boths camera at the same... morethere is no leica hardware inside, just post-processing software with collaboration between huawei and leica. it use sony imx sensors !

Guys I have p9 eva l19 when I compare it to eva l09 mine one camera was taking very bad pictures while eva l09 was much better capturing and also screen resolition was outstanding..tell me guys if some one have this problem...thanx in advance

Nat, 26 Jul 2018After 6 months phone kept shutting down when I take photos.... moreHad the same issue. I think that is the battery sensor that has a problem the battery. I don't know if you guys would believe but I tried to download an app and amazingly it repairs the battery sensor. The application name is "Battery Repair Life 2018". Hopes this helps.
Battery performance would not be the same as brand new but that goes all to all smart phones right?

Use of two type of sensors for determining an object's distance, in this case for images a camera. That's why you can still edit the image blurred effect even after capturing an image.

I dont think that "leica" is using boths camera at the same time. Only 1 camera is using while shooting a picture. Try to cover 1 of the len, and its not blank and the image show the same if lens not being cover

Nat, 26 Jul 2018After 6 months phone kept shutting down when I take photos.... moreI'm having this issue and it's super annoying. I had 40% battery and phone freezed while taking photos and then auto shutdown. Turned it back on and showed 3% and shutdown again. It showed 30% when I charged it.
80% battery for a less than 20mins gaming time (mobile legend), it went straight down below 20%... Speechless.

After 6 months phone kept shutting down when I take photos. So it's basically completely useless to me as I wanted a camera with a phone not a phone with a camera. Huawei isn't forthcoming with fixing it...

After one year of used, i noticed a my phone is getting slow.
My main problem is the gallery. When i opened my gallery iand look at those pictures, it freezed for so long i need to closed all that apps running. But with no avail, they still the same. Any help please. Thanks

I was wondering if i should buy a P9 or a 9i ?
I need a good battery life and a good camera (front and rear) .
Nothing else really matters much as long as i get these 2 things. Pls suggest.
I like the p9 looks though.
