power-off. wait 3 second
press power button + vol. up + vol. dwn at the same time until you see the splash. the device will now auto-restore the firmware.

I'm holding a EVA-L19.
Ever since the first update, the WiFi is crappy as hell. I have frequent disconnection, unable to detect WiFi and unable to connect despite being able to detect.
I changed my router, update it's sustems and others but this damned phone can't detect. My other devices, including a P9 lite has been working fine.
Personal experience; do not get this model.

Storemandan, 14 Feb 2018Just spoken with Huawei and the p9 should all be updated to... moreafter the latest March Update on March 3rd 2018, My Huawei P9 EVA-L09 went dead .
I took it to Huawei Nairobi Service Centre, Kenya.
They said the battery was faulty and replaced it on March 13th 2018
The phone was on for two days then started requesting Huawei eRecovery.
The download and recovery to restore the system says getting info package info failed meaning the phone isn't useful for now.

My Huawei P9 EVA-L09 went dead after the latest March Update on March 3rd 2018.
I took it to Huawei Nairobi Service Centre, Kenya. on March 9th 2018,
They said the battery was faulty and replaced it, NB: never saw the old battery ????(BTW)
The phone was on for two days then started requesting Huawei eRecovery.
That hasn't succeeded yet meaning the phone still isn't useful upto now.

Coming from a nexus 5x im pleasantly surprised by this phone. The screen is great, to my taste even better. The looks and feel in the hand are amazing. The screen looks better than the 5x and im pleased with the camera. Very clear with a lot of options. Coming from stock android i was a bit sceptic regarding the software but im runnng it for a week already and not once i tought about using the android 1 launcher. It came with a clear case and type C adapter so i can charge the phone with a samsung charger. Even the headphones sound amazing. Overall the phone is fast without any lag. The only time i noticed lag was when i started a download while playing music. The music pauses very shortly and continues. Im very happy with this phone.

you can say they have picked up apple's notch idea and crafted a better design.:D
Btw everyone is following the notch idea except LG and Samsung.:D
Perhaps next year S10 and G8 will come with a notch too.:P

In that case I have spoken to huawei too and huawei told me the oreo update is already on the works for P9. Anyway, P9 best phone ever. This phone will worth some money in a near future. now start facing battery problem, sometimes show 40%, but take photo will suddenly shut down and the battery left 1%.
