This is official answer from huawei support for United Kingdom about Nougat update 22.04.2017
The update release for P9 Lite devices has already started, but it is being released in batches. Therefore, we kindly ask you to wait a bit more.
In the meantime, check the HiCare app from time to time. You can also clear the cache for it in Settings > Apps > HiCare > Clear cache, then restart the device and try again. As mentioned before, make sure you have Auto-check for updates and Auto-Download via Wi-Fi options enabled, in Settings > Update > Menu > Update settings.

Good to update on 7.0 from day one marshmallow have lots and lots of bug's like Homescreen brightness is low compared to apps no apps running background when u clear all lags on apps poor battery performance i wonder why Huawei launched p9 lite if they don't have stable OS

Don't update to 7.0 if you: need bluetooth, want to change ringtone, want default calculator and clock/alarm app. But battery lasts longer and it works better which is nice...

I got Nougat update for L21 version. It is awesome.
Improved in every way. Faster and nicer than Marshmallow. I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Best regards. Thanks Huawei.

Emui 5 came in Serbia, for p9 lite 2gb version.
Guys this OS i so beautiful, fast and overall awesome (for me the new recent app change os the best, beside the notification).

I also live in Pakistan and i have the same variant as of you. I have updated my phone there's no such problem. But you should uninstall every excessive app like FB twitter or anything which you have downloaded yourself before update Bcoz some people had problems using apps after update. That's why after update reinstall them.

Unless, your carrier supports LTE Cat 6, which would give you higher speed with P9 Lite.
Anyway, read reviews, watch YouTube and compare these phones would give you your answer better than me.
