I just bought this phone 2 days ago and boy I'm glad I did. Amazing phone with splendid camera and excellent sound. Battery is great too. I change phones all the time, Galaxy s7 edge, LG V10, G4, Note 5 etc and all that. I was afraid to get an Huawei phone at first but this one changed my opinion towards this company forever. Highly recommended ..

im buiyng a new phone next week, im going on a trip for 1 year traveling, so i gess i prefer battery, camera and fast GPU/CPU, wich one could be the best for me? Mate8 or P9.
Also what about the battery of P9 vs P9 plus?

For gaming.not too much difference. if more game focus, mate8could be better.
larger screen, larger battery, more important, lower CPU frequency so relatively less heat. it won't heating, just a bit warmer after long time hours gaming even heavy like NBA2k15

sanso, 06 Jul 2016Mali-T880 MP8, that doesn't help much against other SoCsit help actually. it won't get heat for long time so CPU/GPU can still run at normal high frequency. other more core GPU won't last more than 20min and have to run at lower frequency. check many online reports.
8 or more core GPU claimed less heating than before, yes but still there.
