Great aesthetics; clean and simple with a touch of elegance (Though I suspect that elegance comes from the gold finish. The black and white models seem lifeless). Very fast and smooth reaction from commands. Simple and easy to navigate. This is my first Huawei so I don't really know how to compare it to Mate 8. But coming from a different 6 incher, this one is more pocket-friendly, but not budget-friendly. TBH, the P9 Plus feels a bit like a "knock-off" version of Iphone 6 Plus. But let's get real, no smartphone is truly an original these days. I guess that's where the dual lens come in. Not to mention a Back button. That's really important for me :) Picture quality is great also. Over all I rate it at 4/5. If they made it with 6inch display, this would have been perfect, at least for me :)

BTW i really love this phone but all flagships have QHD displays, it lacks the 4k recording as well, finally the gpu is not the best among the massive priced phones!
These reasons held me back the last minute of purchasing this phone, i'm in doubts of what to buy really!

I am using p9 plus from last three days. Today when I plugged in for charging it stopped charging after few minutes then I again started charging but it stopped again. 3rd time when I plugged in for charging then it was charged completely. Guide me about this issue.

I find it a bit amusing that there's Lumia in your profile name. I used to be a Nokia-loyalist before switching to Huawei P9 Plus.The first problem I encounter with the P9 and look, Lumia comes to my aid. Hahahahaha.

Either your silent or general profile is set with Mobile Data On. So whenever you switch between these 2 profiles, it automatically switches On Data. Just disable it from both and you are good to go. It's not a problem, it's just requires a little bit of settings.

Well! The fact that this device has a full HD screen not QHD is really disappointing! Today i just compared it hand in hand to the S7 edge and i could tell the diffrence in pixels, beside the lower gpu, in S7 edge it is mp12 gpu whereas it is mp4 in the P9 Plus and here there will be a huge gab in the benchmarks tests of 3d and gaming, add to it that it doesn't record 4K
Maybe the P9 Plus has the amazing force touch and type c connecter as advantages above S7 edge but what i mentioned above is way more important
I'm disappointed really because i loves this phone but it is at the same price of S7 edge almost here in Germany where the S7 edge gives me better display, better gpu and better camera !

I have a slightly embarrassing question. I've recently switched to Huawei and chose P9 Plus as my first. I love almost everything about it (I would have enjoyed a 6 inch display but whatev). I'm not a tech-person. Like really I'm not. As with all my previous units, my phone is used only for text messaging and calling. And the occasional picture-taking on rare occasions. I've had my P9+ for a few days now and twice already I've gotten notification that my device has connected to the internet. My load (from the Philippines here) or credits or what-have-you has been used on both occasions even though I have made sure the Mobile Data function is turned off. I use a prepaid sim so every load counts. So my question is: has something like that ever happened to any of you? Phone suddenly deciding to connect to the internet even though that function has been turned off? Thanks :)

if you are keen to photographing, especially black/white, it's it.
p9 is becoming more popular in Europe, especially in France.
