Huawei to launch new Kirin 830 chipset with the nova 12 series
Huawei revealed last year that there will be no Kirin chipsets in 2023 and even got cocky, calling reports “false news”. Fast forward nine months, and we saw the company announce the Mate 60 series with a Kirin 9000S platform, and now we hear there are plans for yet another SoC – a Kirin 8 series.
The new chip is likely to be called Kirin 830, and according to the leakster, it will launch with the nova 12 series “at the end of the year”.
This isn't the first time we have heard about this particular chipset, but only now do we get a timeframe for its arrival. The nova 12 and nova 12 Pro appeared in some leaked posters, suggesting the Kirin 830 chip will be only for the vanilla smartphone. The phone will have three cameras on the back, a mighty 60 MP selfie shooter at the front and 88W charging support.
The performance of the Kirin 830 is rumored to be on par with Snapdragon 778G or Snapdragon 870 by Qualcomm, but we are still in the land of speculation. The bigger issue is who will manufacture the chipset as 5G technologies and patents are still held by US companies that are not allowed to trade with Huawei or its subsidiary chipset maker HiSilicon.

We all know U.S provides 10% of the technology then claim everything is theirs. Tech companies shouldn't patent anything in U.S as then its stolen as theirs. Wake up please

Thanks. Ok, currently I'm using edge 40 only, very good allrounder. Was thinking of using Huawei in future for camera and performance.
