The problem i encountered with this phone is the internal storage is small 16gb. Your are left with around 8gb. Installing productivity apps would consume almost 2gb. Big games each consume almost 2gb or more. That leave you with less than than 2gb. Installing a class10 64gb micro sd card and setting it as default storage will give you plenty of space for installing big games. The problem with this setup is when downloading video, the only storage allowed is the micro sd. It will wear out more quickly especially when downloading video and watching video stored on micro sd. If there is extra cash to spend, buy the 32gb or 64gb phone instead.

One of the most useful program is "Status Bar Mini Pro". It lets you display a status bar at the top screen of the phone. you could set it to display available ram, cpu usage, battery temp., battery %, date time, storage space. You could see which app uses the most cpu, most memory and heats up the battery.
Another useful program is "Greenify". It lets you close program's automatically, when you turn off the screen and help you save battery too by closing background app that drain battery.

I have no problem with the phone so far. I play MLBB with the setting of high resolution. I don't know why others having a lagging problem with the device. What I can suggest, disable some unnecessary apps that was pre-installed and have at least 3 GB free storage.

To Reduce Lag on Phone. Restart your phone daily. When you will be playing big games like Pubg, always restart your phone, to free up memory. after playing big games and moving to another big game, restart your phone again, you will notice faster load time and less lag.

when you phone lags. try to remove all old sms messages. this causes big lag especially when the sms messages reaches thousands. In "developers option" there is "running services" wherein you could check the free ram available and the programs that are consuming big amounts of ram. Try unistalling the program that you don't use or install the lite version. having a free ram of 1gb lets you have a lag free phone.

I bought this phone when it first came out-1st week of May. I have't have any problem with this phone. I installed a 64gb Samsung Evo Plus and set the default storage to sd card. It let me install big games w/o having problems on storage ex. pubg and rules of survival. The phone will notice sd card slowdown when there are 2 seperate apps downloading at the sametime. I try to keep as much free internal memory as possible. I remove all bloatware that i don't use and keep social media apps to a minimum to conserve ram and battery. My phone does not lag and i don't have any battery drain problem.

If no update wait for it. ...142 solved all the lagging issues. You may also need a fast SD card and keep a strict control of the background apps. This is not a bad phone just needs a bit of attention on the technical side. I'm happy with it.

I really cant deal with this phone like, its not even a month yet but it freezes. I took it back to MTN and I got a new one, there is still no difference. The Camera is the worst part about it. SUPER SUPER SLOW , its really irritating. My apps freeze , whether its whatsapp, games , reading apps , even the gallery ... very very slow to respond. Sometimes it locks itself.. like what the hell????????? you guys better do something,, stop releasing this phone. Clearly it has a factory fault . I want my refund Back ... this phone is worse than my old phone. I'm so disgusted right now.

Good news! Recently received 2 OTA updates:
8.0.0.140 Security update
8.0.0.142 Performance update (!)
The phone is noticeably faster. Camera opens in 2-3 seconds.
