Anonymus, 22 Apr 2020So when are they going to give Emui 10 to huawei y9 2019?..... moreI can't give you a date, but they (Huawei) have kindly given dates to other phones that are closely related to it. Like the Y9 prime and the Y9s.

That said, with all the noise about it, especially from change.org, it would be poor on their part to now release updates that would detrimental to the phone, or indirectly, their current international standing. Xiaomi made the mistake twice with the MI A2 that received the update and bricked the devices.

I've been fortunate to have been replied that the possibility is there for the update, but the release would be in batches.

The latest response is not encouraging nor specific however. But you can check the support app on your device and search emui 10 update discussion. That's what I did too. Unfortunately, the Y9 2019 was not among those listed yet.

I've posted links from blogs and Twitter here in the past, where they had mentioned the device for possible updates but no dates were mentioned.

In conclusion, I would like to wait till when they're certain than get an update that will mess up my device.

your comment is wrong, i have, huawei honor 8x ,since Feb 2019 and started with android 8.0-8.1 for it to go to 9.0-9.1 and from a week ago it is 10.0 and now for my xiaomi redmi note 8 i bought it feb.2020 and still is on android 9.0, and note the honor 8x are daily updated by a few apps from the play store, while for xiaomi for 2 months only 3 apps were updated

After playing a video, a pop up showing "Loading...."appears and the phone respond only when the loading stops.

This is boring. Is there a way to overcome this?

Deharrys, 14 Apr 2020Need Help, between huawei y9 2019 and honor 8x which one sh... more
Since i own the Honor 8x and since i'm satisfied and i bought another one.
here's the advantage of the Honor 8x,
first- display is the same size but protected by gorilla glass3,
second- body materials back glass gives a premium look,
third -NFC-COF (chip on flex) allows card free shopping,
fourth- 20mpx camera AI with 60fps video shooting, and in the camera software itself you have shopping, calories, identify code, scanner, instant translation, and Night Mode that
have most expensive Huawei P and Mate phones.
                    fifth-WI-FI, AC, 2.4Ghz , 5Ghz, Dual Band and 2x2 MIMO,
sixth- when i bought it was android 8.0 then 8.1 then 9.0 then 9.1 and now 1 week ago it is android 10.0,
I recommend the Honor 8x JSN-L21, 4GB \ 64GB, as this model only supports NFC and the 128GB model will not get android 10.0 update.
I think I have covered everything and if I did well then thank to me for my hard work.

And I'd say you're a great help mate! Thanks for your time!

That's said, I know someone whos device fell into a pool of water and he's developed a similar thing. There was also a streak, a vertical line that's appeared along the length of the phone. That never cleared. Aside that, the phone has, and still is serving quite well.

I'm sure you know the phone self adjusts brightness from sunlight to room light or vice versa.

And if I may suggest, I hope you didn't stray into a malware site. Sometimes that might be the only sign you get in such instances.

I don't know if I've helped, but it's been based on my experience with Huawei devices. Lastly I'm not sure it's a problem if all else works and the momentary flickering doesn't disturb using the phone or much else.

mode411, 12 Apr 2020How did it happen? Was it following a fall? Or did it drop ... moreIt's neither.

Besides my phone/battery temperature barely exceeds 40°c.

You see, it's when I open Chrome at a low brightness the flickering happens. I've witnessed same case while I was in Google Play! But the problem ceases after increasing the brightness!

Could you tell me what's wrong?

C4rl, 12 Apr 2020Are you guys facing any Display Flickering issue! How did it happen? Was it following a fall? Or did it drop into fluids/liquids?

Did the phone get hot? Was it left charging for a long period?

Maybe an idea of what could have caused it could help with the advice?

AhmedNabil, 11 Apr 2020The link does not work Link still works. Double checked it now.

If the Honor 8X which shares the same CPU, recently received the EMUI 10,we can only remain hopeful the update will come sooner than we expect.

                                Still, here's 🤞🤞🤞
