I just got Huawei y9 2019 newly, but I can't find the option of system update in settings. It's still running Android 8.1, and I gathered that it can be updated to android 9 pie. Anyone got any idea how I can update the phone to android 9

Got 2 questions house:
1.) My software update notification just came in about a week ago and I'm being skeptical about updating to the current version.
I just wanna ask if there's anything to worry about?.
2.) Ijust changed the battery but it looks like I got a fake one because this one is even worse than the previous one that came with the phone but got bloated due to some uncertainties. Where can I get a good replacement battery for my y9, please? I already checked out Aliexpress but was disappointed with the vendors there.

Just ordered for the replacement LCD. I'm locared in Nigeria.

That's why the comments on the device have been good despite the aged Android 9 and EMUI. It's still serving. Though not with the usual speed of more recent phones and all, it just gets the job done.
In my case, the battery still lasts upto 10% when I'm about to sleep, after a full day's charge...

I don't know if the updates should be this slow. Can't believe I just got the May 2021 update on my device in Nigeria. (West Africa), about 7 days ago.
Now I'm seeing the update for April 2022, from Huawei Central going global already. I hope that won't mean I have to wait till 2023, before I get it...
That will be really crazy, people!!

I 've had this phone since march 2019, and it is great. Screen, speakers, cameras are top quality. When i bought it i thought i would keep it only a few months, but that is my favorite until then. Huawei would be number one if they had not been banned, with no Google services...
