If you haven't held the phone, don't give false information.

The salesman at the store told me I had to buy a separate receiver for it. I asked him for a device that had both wifi and gps and wasn't a nokia and he showed me the tytn II not this phone.

Lekki, you don't need a separate GPS receiver. The phone uses the same processor as the TyTN II, namely a Qualcomm MSM 7200. This processor comes with inbuilt GPS-and it is a very good one.

Sharaf DG in Deira City Centre seems to have the best prices. Even better than Axiom.

I am not getting it after all.
Not because I'm getting an e90, but because you need a separate gps receiver with the phone which I feel is retarded if they're calling this an ultimate phone.

            Otherwise, the phone is sick.
And I was talking about here in the UAE.

              Hi,
I advise you to go and select Nokia E90 Communicator, all your requested fetures are there, furthermore it has been tested by ppl and they are happy...

                    Hello,
I am a bit confused, i have two options, HTC TYTN II and imate Ultimate 9502(will be out soon).
Both have the same processor, 9502 has higher pixels 640x480 pixels, color 256K versus 240x320 pixels 65K.
I do not know if TYTN II has a adobe viewer?? 9502 has.
My personal use for the pocket PC is outlook, excel, word, and pdf view and edit. Also the using it as a GPS would come in handy.
I am new to Pocket PCs. Can anyone give advice please. I need to make a decision in two weeks time.
                    Thank you

Nice clarification Tawd. I wanted to ask whether this phone is capable of playing the full version of Youtube and CNN videos. (I have heard that phones such as Nokia's N95 8GB can only play mobile versions of Youtube because it supports only Flash Lite 3 and not Adobe Flash Player 8 or higher). Also have you heard whether they have enabled the video drivers for 3D graphic acceleration?

It seems like there is a lot of confusion about this phone working on a US 3G network.

                        Let's clarify.

                        The 9502 sports triband 3G. Specifically, 850/1900/2100Mhz.

2100 Mhz is an Asia/European band.

850Mhz & 1900Mhz are ONLY used by AT&T's 3G network in the US.

So YES, THIS PHONE WILL OPERATE IN AMERICA using AT&T's 3G network. Keep in mind that AT&T, as of right now, is the ONLY 3G network that is operational in the United States.

Next is the 1700Mhz 3G hype. T-mobile USA's upcoming 3G network is supposed to use this band. However, IT IS NOT FUNCTIONAL AS OF RIGHT NOW. It may be another year, or two, or three, before it's even activated.

So the moral of the story is that the 1700Mhz 3G frequency DOES NOT EXIST for cellphones, ANYWHERE. Not yet at least... The argument that the 9502 does not work in any us 3G network is based on incorrect information. STOP GIVING FALSE INFO!

Are you sure they were talking about the 9502, and not another Ultimate model, the 9150? The 9502 is now being sold retail in Singapore, and has been announced for March delivery by Telstra in Australia.

Phone is cancelled. HTC p6500 also cancelled. I called both companies, which took forever-transfered a thousand times-but eventually found somebody who could talk about the product. They'll have similar units sometime in the future, but those phones are no longer an official product. That info would have been helpful back in oct 2007...

It is a great device, but I must hold judgement to see if it actually comes out. I-mate is the most unreliable company in the mobile world when it comes to actually releasing phones they announce. They have had many devices that have been canceled. I have never seen another company cancel a phone (or very rarely) and i-mate does it regularly.

This gadget looks nice. Can it work perfectly in Ngeria? What is the exact cost of the phone?

The 9502 is expected to work in the United State on the AT&T network. It will also work on the T-Mobile network, but not at T-Mobile's highest speed, because T-Mobile uses the 1700 MHz band.

The FCC has not yet approved the 9502 for use in the United States.
