Mind u am not being bias here AVE used an iPhone 8 a Samsung s9 and many others cuz I love experiencing new tech, from what AVE seen that phone is only as fast as u say because they dialed down so may other things like the display and the animation.

Allow him keep telling us of how good the Infinix Note 7 is, and how it trashes Xiaomi's midrange offerings. Those who would buy what he's selling would; those who know better, know.

Anonymous, 15 Jun 2020It is a good phoneI never said it isn't a good phone for those who like it, did I? Someone using a 2yrs old 1+6T would disagree, though, because huge battery doesn't define a good phone.

No one said you shouldn't enjoy your 720p phone, so, please, take a deep breath in. Enjoy your device. One suggestion, though, stick to that which you love. Insofar 720p phones still exist, don't consider 1080p or higher. I wouldn't want you to get sad, dear tech expert!

Cyberchum, 14 Jun 2020It's okay for you to talk-up the phone you like, and exagge... moreIt is a good phone

The realme 6,6i, redmi 9s, redmi 9, and redmi 9 pro max have an antutu benchmark score of 203,000-213,000 and cost $4k-$13 more than the infinix note 7.
720p and 1080p is BARELY noticeable on a phone. I have used the Samsung Galaxy a51 and a70 whose benchmarks are 179,000 and 192,000 respectively. These both also cost $21-$35k more rupees. I hated infinix phones all my life until I studied the Helio g70 chip and it was recognized as the 29th best chip in the world and was recognized by antutu as the 5th best mid-range chip and on every outlet, it outperforms the snapdragon 665 by a little and is comparable to the 720g. I've seen it get a score of 76-73 losing the the 720g and winning 73-72 vs the 665 and losing 81-73 to the 730G which is considerable and losing 78-73 to the Helio g80. No one here is a professional gamer to the point it will make them money, no one is a professional photographer here who will make a career from their smart phones doing either of these two things. Surf the net, watch videos, use a 6 GB + 128 GB 29k phone that ONLY loses antutu benchmark scores to 5/28 phones I researched.

              The 6i
              9 pro
              9s
              9 pro max

Beats the a51, a70, and the difference between those 5 I mentioned were 203k-213k, not enough to make a difference. I am a POWER user with 3-5 widgets on every screen except the first two and I have 510 apps as I work and go to school from my work. My phone NEVER lags and if I don't see blades of grass in a movie and you do a little clearer than me... Do I care? No. You could actually purchase the 6 GB + 64 GB version and most users have a 16-64 GB memory card with them for 25k and add your existing memory card to the phone or purchase a 64 GB one for 2k and you still paid 27k

It's antutu score is 77th best in the whole world. It's processor almost beats out a processor in the 720g meant for more expensive phones and beats out it's main competition, the exynos 9604 from Samsung, and the Qualcomm snapdragon 665 and barely Loses to the 720g. It doesn't beat it by a lot, but it does. I've worked in the mobile industry in America for 8 years and am expert at these things. 720p vs 1080p on such a small screen with the ability to record 1080p videos instead of 4k is for snobs

I switched from a Samsung Galaxy a70 to this and it's screen is 720p vs 1080p and I notice VERY little difference that would require me to look super closely. You can force all apps via developer options to be moved to your sd card for space saving and Google photos from the cloud. I have photos/videos from 2012 saved on there, almost a million, and doesn't take up ONE KB of space on your phone. The phone itself also stops giving power thru the supply to the phone once it reaches 100%. The reason batteries die quick on some phones are it's recommended to not leave your charging cable plugged in at 100% because it damages the battery and the lead itself. It would turn an 18w charger into a 12w charger after a year if it didn't automatically do that and your phone that lasted 10 hours a day the first year may begin to last 7 hours a day due to this. It's simply not realistic to wake up at 2:17 a.m. when your phone reaches 100% and un-plug it some companies have taken it on their own. the Galaxy a70 is a phone that began at 70k down to 55k and it's antutu benchmark is less than the infinix note 7, less cameras, only 1 flash, only the 1080p AMOLED for 25k you're paying extra and now the a51, the same thing. 50k for a worse benchmark score, worse chipset, and a shitty in display fingerprint scanner as they all suck besides iPhones. AMOLED screens also have a tendency to not shatter the screen on top but the display underneath no matter what kind of screen protector you have, thus allowing your phone to turn on and people call and text you and you hear notifications but the LCD underneath has broke rendering it useless. A 720p screen from personal experience and friends experience have seen them drop and crack but the LCD underneath isn't as sensitive so the screen still works, you just have cracks. You cant use an all black phone where you can't see anything, you can use a cracked phone. That's a huge difference. Lastly, yes we all know Samsung One UI is a great skin on top of Android. I love the small notifications previews myself but there are apps that mimic that also 100% so not a problem. I can have 57 apps open on this phone and scroll thru all 33 pages I have with no lag. I've tested it. Only at all 58 will it even lag a LITTLE, but whose using 58 apps at once? No one. LASTLY again, sorry, live transcribe by infinix is great for deaf and blind people. It picks up EVERY word including bad words and can read it back to a blind person or a deaf person can read it themselves. You can turn off every ad, no sweat. The UI is realistically the only that needs work along with adding an IP water resistant rating because I'm assuming 1080p and usb c will be included in EVERY phone next year and for those complaining about the camera, there is literally a button that says 48 MP camera that you have to click of your pictures will only be used by the two 2 mp cameras+plus the 2 macro mp sensor in the back, of course if you're missing using the 48 MP camera when the button to click it is right there, your pictures won't be as good and it's hilarious the complaints I see about this until the click the button. There's also a hand icon when you take a video for auto video stabilization for shaky handed people. I ALWAYS charge my phone under 20% because that's another recommendation and I turn it off and it'll go from 0-92% in 75 min. Good enough for me via a micro-usb
Usb-c was invented for quicker charging which micro-usb has matched, been close, or beaten in most cases and for SUPER quick transfer of big files from Android to windows and vice versa. TA-DA! Microsoft OneDrive ajd Google Chromebooks give you 1-2 TB for free and if your internet connection is fast, it's faster than USB c. I've lived in America since 1995 and came to Pakistan to stay with my alone 94 year old grandpa and can say phones in the budget range in America are TERRIBLE compared to Pakistan.
              1-2 gb ram
              8-16 gb storage
              5-6 inch screens
ONLY 6 phones in the entire USA have a screen size of 6.7-6.9.
              Alcatel 3v 2019
              Motorola edge 6
              OnePlus 8 pro
              Note 10+
              S20+
              S20 Ultra
              And that's it
No phones are 6.6, they're all 4.7-6.5 and more on the 5.5-6.1 range but bigger is better.
Some phones are STILL shipping with android pie 8.1
1 rear 8-16 mp camera and 2-5 mp front camera but again, they are smartphones so the poor deal with the lag.
It's crazy to me an iPhone 5 cost $550-750 USD upon release. A phone with those specs would be 10k rupees now
Let's also keep it real, a higher refresh rate may save you 2 days out of an 80 year life and if you can see 7 blades of grass on a cricket field and I only can see 6 because of 1080p vs 720p, no one cares.
This is the world's best phone under $200. NO OTHER PHONE under $200 made the antutu benchmark list except the realme 6i which can be 3-6k more rupees and was #74 but again, that phone is powered by the g80 is logical. the benchmark score is 203k-195k. Not even recognizable day to day use. it charges quicker even though its USB C and promises 30W VOOC fast charging
40% more watts with USB-c and takes almost 50 more min to charge the same battery. Also don't come at me with OH but redmi note 9 has 5020 mAh vs 5000 mAh. 20 mAh will make you at BEST on a gsm call maybe 5-7 extra minutes
Anything data related and it won't even be 5 minutes.
Apple and samsumg saw all these Asian companies releasing phones with 6-8 GB of RAM with 128GB storage and lost tons of money from 2016-2019. Samsung hopped on board with their new A series that was.meant for Africa and countries east of the UK and it did SO well they brought the a10, a20, a50, and the a10s and a20s will release soon

Apple saved its ass with new iPads, new MacBooks, The SE 2, and their new Netflix type service for ONLY 14 shows for $10 USD a month. Imagine paying 118 rupees a month for 10 shows 😂😂. Apple makes the majority of their money thru services like apple music,tv, the app store, etc. Their cell phone market is saturated and no one, even DIE hards have stopped buying after the X came out. The market has officially changed as google itself 5 months ago joining apple and Microsoft are the only 3 tech companies to be worth 1 trillion USD.
              The battle is on.

Other phones are great. No one cares about photo quality or video game performance times unless you're a loser whose addicted to a screen. I use my tech products to make $$$.
For me I'm never around liquids so the IP rating doesn't matter, I have six 55 inch Samsung 4k smart TVs on my wall which my phone, iPad, Xbox one, PlayStation 4, and 2 laptops are always connected to bigger screens.

1080p vs 720p means you're a snob, you seeing 1 more gray hair than me on someone or 1 extra wrinkle on someone's forehead. CONGRATS FOR YOU! IF you think that you'll become a professional gamer making Lakh rupees a month doing this or taking photos from a NON-iphone, you're streaming.

Cyberchum, 14 Jun 2020It's okay for you to talk-up the phone you like, and exagge... moreYou agreed with me on almost every problem I pointed out in Xiaomi phones. Yet you also say I'm making "cheap attempt" to discredit Xiaomi?
You're just on ego-trip at this point, agreeing with me while making an attempt to mock me.

Do you think wasting people's money is a joke? It's NOT okay to over exaggerate any phone's qualities!

I don't want people to take my word for it. That's the entire reason I went out of my way to give examples, point out tests by Gsmarena and gave material like FPS difference of G85 vs G70 to research about. So readers can CONFIRM whether what I say is true or not themselves.
                Don't try word manipulation.

I made no attempt to discredit any other phone. I only made an attempt to help OP get best value for his money, doesn't matter which phone or which brand. If that bothers you, good. Keep hurting yourself over your loyalty to Xiaomi.

FYI: Snapdragon 660 Xiaomi phone giving lower FPS than a under-clocked Snapdragon 636 Asus phone is not "SLIGHTLY" lower performance. That's a mind-boggling HUGE drop in performance!! Same for other comparisons I listed.

Why do you even have a opinion on phones when don't even know what performance to expect from their chipset, or that phone in general?

Cyberchum, 14 Jun 2020Are you done with leaving replies? Have your temper calmed,... more1. You're the one who couldn't handle me pointing out flaws of Xiaomi phones. Don't try to turn it round on me. My comment wasn't in favour of any brand.

                  2. If you can't read English, why even argue here? OP asked which phone is better & I told him aspects of both Infinix Note 7 & Redmi Note 9. How is that "drifting off the question"?

Is it because I suggested a phone that's way better than Redmi Note 9 but is in same price? Is that seriously what you're angry about?

Who made the rule that I can't suggest better phones to people? You? Or in your words, you aren't smart enough to do that?
It's clear to me you're a Xiaomi fan boy. Or in your own words, you're paid by them or doing free publicity?

                  3. I've same human eyes and I've seen what Infinix Note 7 display looks like. I already said if you're obsessed with display sharpness, maybe then you won't like its display. If you scroll down here, you'll see many ACTUAL users of Infinix Note 7 saying its display doesn't look bad.

                  - Are you trying to say they're lying, blind and stupid? And we should listen to a Xiaomi fan boy instead? No thanks.
You're more than just tech-dumb if you're still arguing about it.

                  4. "Some RN7 users"? You'll find complaint for weak signal reception on almost every other page of Xiaomi phones. Same for many others, including performance, heating, battery etc.
Eh, "Nigeria". Why do you all Nigerians suck up to Xiaomi so much? I must research how Xiaomi market itself to Nigeria.
Or are you same Nigerian guy from before, who coincidentally, also bought RN7?

PS: Naming lower priced phones with almost half of your phone's specs doesn't help your argument. It only makes your phone look worse for competing with cheap phones.

Anonymous, 14 Jun 2020PS: Gsmarena performance tests also proves what I said abou... moreIt's okay for you to talk-up the phone you like, and exaggerate it's qualities. Those who wish to take your word for it would. Your cheap and ludicrous attempt to discredit other phones, just to do that, however, is what it is: Cheap and ludicrous.

ONLY a tech noob would say that HD looks good on a 7 incher. Since it looks so good, why do Tecno use FHD on some other phones, when they could outfit them with your good-looking HD? Oh, ltps compensates the detail? Other top manufacturers like Samsung and Huawei are yet to realize that, then. They have a lot of catch up to do to get to Tecno's standard. LMAO.

Yes, chipset performance on budget Xiaomi phones are SLIGHTLY worse than they are on some other phones using the same chipset. Admitted!

Yes, some users have complained of not-so-stellar reception on RN7. Maybe it has to do with country/location, because I've never had reception issue on my unit here in Nigeria. Actually, on occasions when my two closest friends using Tecno Pouvoir 3 plus and Infinix Hot 8 respectively complain of poor connectivity, mine works fine. Same service provider, Same location. All 3 phones on LTE. Please, remind me again; LTE Cat what is Infinix Note 7 on? Measly Cat 4; two generations old RN7 has LTE Cat12.

Someone asked for which is better between phone "A" and phone "B", what did you do? Drift and swerve. Instead of rationally answering the question, you introduced phones he didn't ask you of. Aren't you super smart?

Man, if you're intelligent enough, you'd know that I meant that you are doing free publicity, just like the other fellow that said that this phone is better than iPhone 11. With poo logic that it's all about Camera and battery. Camera wise, this phone is light years behind iPhone 11. And budget phones, like this one, are known for big battery. Tecno wouldn't pay you a dime!

Cyberchum, 13 Jun 2020You really do like blowing silent horns. To even imply that... more1. Start by telling me how much more FPS can Helio G85 pull compared to Helio G70?
If you can't, back off with your wanna-be-tech-expert attitude.

                                2. I implied MIUI phones having lower performance than their chipsets, NOT that Helio G70 has equal performance as Helio G85.
Big difference. MIUI decreases superior chipsets performance to that of weaker chipsets or even lower. Same reason a 660c engine would give crappy performance on a loading truck.
But it's too complicated for you, isn't it?

                                3. I mentioned Redmi Note 7 as an example so OP can research what I said easily, as it's the most discussed Xiaomi phone. And yes, I've used RN7. You can compare any MIUI phone of your choice with any phone from brands like Realme/Nokia that have same chipsets.

                                - I didn't mention Redmi Note 8 because it's worse than Redmi Note 7 in almost every way. What I said about MIUI & chipsets is true for all MIUI phones, including RN8, RN8 Pro, RN9 etc.

And yes, Redmi Note 9s, RN8 & RN8 Pro also have complaint for weak signal reception. Read user reviews. I can't recall any MIUI phone that doesn't have complaint for weak signal reception from many users.
Or you can find me some that don't?

                                4. My comparison is valid because both phones are from Xiaomi and both phones have MIUI.
It's a trend in Xiaomi phones and there has never been an exception as far as I've seen, and I've checked over 20 Xiaomi phones in detail.

                                5. Your prefer smaller & sharper display. That's fine. But you try to push it on others that bigger size is a Con? Don't be stupid now.
Try watching a video on 6.2inch display. A large portion from both sides will not be covered by Video & appear as black/blank. You're basically actually only watching on a 5-5.5inch screen on those phones.
Infinix Note 7 size reduces that problem.

Secondly, Infinix Note 7 display is LTPS IPS LCD - not IPS LCD. It makes up for some of its low resolution with better viewing angles than IPS LCD/AMOLED/Super AMOLED displays. Many brands, including Xiaomi tried similar thing with AMOLED display on big size phones as well.

                                - Yes, it's still a low resolution display but it doesn't look bad at all. That's what I'm saying. I would only not recommend this phone to someone obsessed with display sharpness like you are. For 80-90% of the users, its display is perfectly good.
If you disagree, I'll repeat your statement to you: "Have you tried it for yourself to say its display is as bad as you claim?"

                                6. Lastly, LMFAO. You aren't very smart if you think people get paid to write fake reviews on sites like Gsmarena.
Question for you : If I'm paid by Infinix, why am I saying all previous Infinix phones were overpriced and useless in this very forum while people who don't like this phone are saying those were better?

I'm a marketing student and let me tell you guy this, it would be a very expensive and useless strategy to do this sort of thing. Only place where it would be a little effective would be on blogs directly managed by Infinix - where they also directly speak to customers.
I've mostly seen this done by Vivo on Facebook pages & groups.

To even imply that G70 could have equal performance as the G85 invalidates everything you're to say. He asked about the Redmi Note 9, and you brought up the Redmi Note 7. One question: Are both of them the same phones? You know that there's Redmi Note 8, right? Why refer back to 2 generation old phone?

Bigger display as pro? No tech knowledgeable person would pick a pixelated ~7 incher over a FHD ~6.5 incher. Infinix Note 7 pro's size is already a con on its own. The Redmi Note 9 has weak signal? Oh, you've used it to know? Mind pointing to collaborative sources? Tecno (Transsion) better be paying you well for the job you're doing. Even the Redmi 9 would represent a better buy than this crap.

Noir, 13 Jun 2020I'll advise you to get Redmi note 9 because it has more com... moreOnly thing you're right about is infrared port and reverse charging. But only real advantage is in its display, in my opinion.

Never trust Gorilla Glass 5 vs 3 kind of specs. *All* of these brands often use low quality gorilla glass, making even Gorilla Glass 6 scratch and break as easily as Gorilla Glass 3 or lower.
Only way to compare Gorilla Glass is to test it yourself or watch somebody else test it, like Gupta guy from YouTube.

Secondly, G85 GPU is only marginally more powerful than G70. If it was Helio G90T, then we could say it was better. In practice, its performance is same or lower than Infinix Note 7.

Problem with MIUI phones is that they always give lower performance & battery than other phones with same chipsets. So you need a much more powerful MIUI phone to consider it more powerful than Infinix Note 7.

                                      Here's how they compare:
                                      - RN7 with SD660 has similar/lower performance than SD636 phones like Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.
                                      - Pocofone F1 with SD845 has similar performance to some SD835 phones like Nokia 8.
                                      - Redmi Note 8 Pro gives lower FPS in games than Realme 6 despite having same chipset.

The same is in case of battery of MIUI phones. Redmi Note 9 battery would last 10-15% less than Infinix Note 7. Also account for more ideal battery drain.

Kourimane, 13 Jun 2020I said note 7 is a downgrade because of secren and Android ... more1. Forget display, you don't even know anything about cameras. Higher resolution doesn't make camera better, nor does viewing it on a high resolution display does.
Details, highlights, shadows, colours, contrast, skin tones etc are what makes camera better. All of which you can easily see in this phone's LTPS display.

                                        2. Infinix Note 4 and other phones you mentioned are so bad I don't understand why you would buy them - let alone compare with this much better phone.

                                        3. Hell no. You don't know anything about games (or performance), either. Do you know how much power it would take to play PUBG on 1080p/FHD resolution?
It seems you've no idea about chipsets either.

PUBGM runs on 720p by default on all phones. It doesn't matter whether your display is 720p, 1080p or even 4K resolution - it'll be played on 720p resolution.

SD660/665, Helio P60/70, Helio G70/80, Kirin 710/710F would give you 10-24FPS if you played PUBGM on 1080p resolution.
It would take Snapdragon 845 phones to play PUBG with 30-35FPS on FHD resolution, which is still too low to play games.

                                        4. There is an upgrade in charging. The upgrade is in quality of parts and actually charging your phone fast.

These days, all phones claim to have 18watt charging. In reality, they only charge as fast as 10watt charging phones or even slower. Like Redmi Note 7, which charges slower than Realme 3 & Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.

Infinix Note 7 is one of the few phones that actually charges fast. 100% 5000mAh battery in around 2 hours.
While phones like Redmi Note 7 charges its 4000mAh battery in close to 2.5 hours.

                                        5. It comes with Android 10 with features from latest XOS, which even lets you uninstall bloatwares and you still complain about OS?
I think you're half drunk, brother.
