AnonD-488927, 18 Jan 2016here is what broken in my P70 after update to 5.1 Lollipop,... moreDo a factory reset, clear cache in settings> storage. Use a file manager (eg:es file explorer) and clean all junk files, residual files.clear misc files.

    1)camera is completely broken, launch the camera app you will see a black screen after a few seconds it crash and force close.
    2)contacts manager just showing blank screen and no contact available, it took forever to load the contacts.
    3)using chrome browser will make my phone stuck/hang for a few minutes.
    4)5.1 Lollipop makes P70 battery drain really fast, the 4000mAh battery now became a joke.

        Hi there, I've got a notification to upgrade my P70 from KitKat to lollipop 5.1 , is it recommended to do so with P70? Or shall I keep it KitKat? Any advice here and there?

                            At first i bought this phone i was very happy!was a grait phone with kit kat 4.4!then lenovo release a update 5.1lollipop S138 and killed the phone!Tottaly disaster believe that!they tried to fix it with S139 update but it was a grait fail.for know i have to cry and wait..

                                If u already upgrade to lolipop with ROM s138, u can't update to s139. It will showed your system are latest. Funny at the latest Lenovo upgrade matrix it show the p70 status as "to be confirmed". Maybe Lenovo will give option to downgrade back to KitKat since too much complained. Nothing wrong with the s138 lollipop update, just no vibe ui skin on top and no more special features, no more the not really free security apps.

                                  It's almost 1 years I owned p70, super cool phone fast powerful mtk processor with super battery. Bad camera even bad after lollipop update. I will buy the redmi3 once available as I can get more compact and better camera upgrade. Price and features of the redmi note 3 will be great upgrades but the phone is too BIG to be handling and not pocket friendly. Sigh..
